Share The Love — Issue 02
The weekly article sharing the love of poetry
Welcome to the second issue. I have been writing, reading and contemplating this week, which meant I could try and plan a future for Share The Love.
Originally this was going to be a monthly article. However, towards the end of the first week since issue one, I have bookmarked over 60 poems. That would mean we’ll over 240 to go through to choose my ten favourites. So a weekly edition sounds more plausible. If you would prefer monthly let me know.
I am going to throw this out to you now. What would you like to see in the weekly edition? I will include 3 pieces that I have created, along with the 10 favourites.
Does the prompt work as it is? Or would you like a separate one for Haiku, freeform, rhyme, tanka etc. Let me know in response.
I have now included the names of the writers for each piece in the top ten. That way they know when their poem has been selected.
If you missed the last edition…

See! Said it was simple.
My three new pieces, chosen for you.
Ten Poems I’ve read and absolutely love.
There are just so many fantastic poems too read. I really wish I could just list every single one.
These are ones that just stood out to me for various reasons, have a look as there is some amazing work out there.
I will keep looking and keep reading as many poems as I possibly can. I can say though I haven’t seen one that shouldn’t be on my list. Keep up the amazing work. I wish I could write the way you do!
Clap for each one and respond. Include “seen on Share The Love Issue 2 by Martin Rushton” Don’t forget to tag me.

Prompt
Write a poem in any form which must include these three words.
“Frustration, Basement, Deliverance”
Words are chosen using a random word generator. So don’t blame me :) If you still want to do the prompt from the last edition, the link is above.
Don’t forget to include at the bottom of your poem “A prompt from Share The Love Issue 2 by Martin Rushton and tag me.
Rather than pick my favourite prompts from May, here all of them.
As prompts are received they are added to the prompt page. Issue 2’s prompt page is here for you. Bookmark it and come back to see.
