Poem: Present Times

Daily Dose of Philosophy

Photo by Heather M. Edwards on Unsplash

We feel anger, yet do not know why, We feel hurt for action taken beyond our past. We pick one side and ignore what others imply. We are blind to all but to one cast.

I ask; does one action forsake another? We are biased to the narrative we enjoy. All stories have two sides one should not ignore the other. The unproven try to prove themselves and destroy.

The thought for justice forsakes reason. Yet, justice needs reason to be virtuous. Justice warriors ignore thought and take action, Yet in their action they are reckless.

Each breath humanity takes brings us closer to utopia, Yet the closer we get the more we yearn for a dystopia.

Thank you for taking the time and reading my poetry. I hope that you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more from the Daily Dose of Philosophy.
