My Life Experience In A FEW WORDS.

It is peppered with ups and downs.

Life is about the experience. There are many uplifting events and multiple heart-wrenching moments. If I could think of 1 element that rhymes with time, it would be this.

“Failure isn’t forever. Glory is in the past.”

Life moves in waves and cycles. When I failed “Advance” Levels examinations at 18 years young, it was on the back of a “Top Student” conferment at “Ordinary” Levels examinations just 2 years ago.

What an irony.

And when I had to repeat my term— That was the best life lesson bestowed upon me. I witnessed the other side of human nature.

Lecturers who once believed (just a year ago) I would ace the examinations blew hot and cold. Juniors — who used to adore me and now in the same cohort as I am — walked away when I came around.

That unfortunate age of 18 was a God-send. My Third Eye opened. I don’t like it but that exposure is important. There are reasons for it.

Firstly, there are different types of spectators. When we do well, they cheer. When we fall, they jeer. Just remember that they are fans. They cheer and jeer because we have a target on our backs.

Next, never take our accomplishments too seriously. These accolades we have attained is in the past. Our present will haunt us when we keep looking behind.

Lastly, failures aren’t terminal. It just means that we have not experienced it before and we don’t know how to cope with it. Take heart. With new exposures come new lessons. We grow.

What is the ultimate takeaway I have?

Living our life to the fullest.

Cheers,

Aldric
