My Favourite Barbarian
Searching for Charity №13 — Raging helps the appetite …

This is a continuing story. Find previous instalments here.
Viper was still starting at Diera when the barbarian cleaned her bloody hands with a cloth.
“I need food.”
Pike grinned and threw her an apple.
“I got you covered.”
“It’s magic,” Diera joked, still panting a little.
“Why didn’t anybody tell me you are some wild, shapeshifting barbarian?” Viper asked.
“You are with us,” Pike answered, “but not yet one of us.”
“That hurts.”
“What did you expect us to say? You look trustworthy. Do you want to join our noble quest?”
“Yeah, get over it,” Diera said, but she had already started to retreat into her angsty personality.
