Like a Tornado in Your Pants
Searching for Charity №12 — Charity and Herald think they have reached the treasure chamber …

This is a continuing story. Find previous instalments here.
“Why can’t you stick to a plan?” Charity barked.
“Huh? But I found the chamber.”
“You drive me insane! Why did I have to free you?”
“Who’re you talking to?”
Charity turned around and saw another Herald.
“Mercy! Two of you?!”
“That’s a fraud!” both shouted simultaneously.
Charity clenched her teeth.
“You are a pain in the a**.”
“Sorry,” the first Herald said.
Immediately, she threw a dagger, but the false Herald dispersed into a swarm of insects.
“Toronadi!”
The insects swarmed around the real Herald, stinging and crawling under his clothes.
“Ouch! It’s like a tornado in my pants!”

JF Danskin’s “A Drabble Challenge for Authors” challenge inspired my drabble short story “Searching for Charity.” Some additional inspiration came from one of Christine Graves’ writing prompts.
