Bit of a mixed bag with the 2/5 being humor pieces about the workplace and dating, 2/5 regarding corporate culture, and 1/5 talking about dating and relationships.</p><p id="330c">This to me, just goes to emphasize the importance of writing about different things and not worrying too much about the end results.</p><p id="0a09">Some pieces you may spend a long time composing but may not be of interest to the reader, or may just not get the traction you think it deserves.</p><p id="a0b6">Others may take a short time to write and do much better than anticipated. There is no cheat or quick when to this game. That I can find anyway. Just need to keep writing pieces that you think are worth writing and then click publish.</p><p id="92c6">I hope this helps paint some kind of picture of what content and topic areas do better than others. I have reached it to the 100 club here on Medium. 100 articles, some hidden gems, pieces I am proud of, and some that were a bit meh.

To give you an idea of what has worked and what hasn't after 100 articles and 6 months of writing, here are my best performing 5 and worst-performing 5 to date.

Why were these my Worst Performers?

3/5 were in niche areas that wouldn’t attract typical Medium readers. I wrote about Boxing, Homeless people needing a USP, and linking Happiness with the 7 Dwarfs from Snow White. In all honesty, I enjoyed writing but who is gonna be searching for these topics?

I have found a lot of the time being unique and looking for abstract things to write about doesn't tend to reach many people. Tackling more mainstream issues tend to do better, despite some topics being very saturated. Many members want to read about experiences writing & earning money online.
