MuddyUm’s funniest for November and one bonus from elsewhere
I have to admit that this issue was very challenging in a strange way. Top 3 is usually the best work on MuddyUm in the month gone by. Sometimes we go by the number of claps. Sometimes we pick the ones with maximum views. Other times we select posts that we thought were amazing. No algo-palgo.
This time I struggled to pick the best. Nothing new. I always struggle because so many posts are so good. But there was an extra complication. I don’t know how many of you know about recent events in the Mudditor world. At the beginning of time, there was Susan Brearley, the sole Mudditor. Then she cherry-picked more Mudditors. As of today, we have a whopping 11 Mudditors and Brudditors — Mudditors from a different Mudder or some such thing.
So what’s the struggle you ask? How naive! These guys are Mudditors because, you know, they write well and are super funny. When scouting for articles for November, well, surprise, surprise! Most of the best articles were written by one of the Mudditors!
We try to follow a couple of best practices for the Top 3 newsletter — not feature Mudditors and not repeat writers. Can you now imagine how tough it must have been to pick the Top 3?
I am kidding, folks! It was not tough at all. I laughed when I saw Mudditor articles popping up often. But on the good ship MuddyUm, there is no dearth of funny articles! How else did we get to a whopping 6,000 followers, eh? Also, did I mention over 91,000 views and 94,000 minutes of reading time in November alone!! Don’t mind me if I use the word ‘whopping’ often.
