Midnight Echoes
The silent dance of shadows and light
Word of the Day: Arch!
Under an ancient arch, Jen and Tom watched shadows merge. “He’s mocking us,” Jen whispered, tension in her voice.
A body, another message left unread.
“Missed him by seconds,” Tom’s frustration echoed off stone walls.
Now a chilling game of cat and mouse.
“He wants us here, entangled in his riddles,” she mused, scanning the darkness.
Tom’s eyes narrowed.
“He’s close, enjoying his artistry.”
A sudden, sinister, and fleeting laughter danced through the archway.
“Not for long,” Jen declared, determination steeling her voice.
Together, they moved, united by purpose and the thrill of the hunt.
“Tonight, we end this game.”
