EDITOR PROFILES
Meet Jennifer Geer
Senior editor of ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications on Medium

Jennifer Geer is a freelance writer and content creator who writes for Medium and Newsbreak, along with freelancing for various clients.
She began writing for the Illumination Integrated Publications in May of 2020 and joined the editorial team for Illumination and Illumination Mirror recently.
With a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a background as a design engineer for an electrical contractor, and in her current role as a stay-at-home mom, Jennifer uses her education and experience to bring a unique insight into her stories.
Jennifer lives in the Chicago suburbs in the United States with her husband, daughter, and two pugs, where she tries to find enough hours in the day for her favorite pastime of running.
Jennifer enjoys writing on a variety of topics, but her main focus is on health and fitness, local Chicago lifestyle content, writing advice, and true crime.
Her local content received remarkable readers on NewsBreak and many of her interesting stories went viral.
Jennifer is grateful for the opportunity she has as an editor of Illumination. What she loves most about her role as editor is finding new voices and connecting with fellow writers.
We are grateful that she remembers the mentors, including Dr Mehmet Yildiz, that helped her when she began her journey of writing on Medium, and she would like to pay it forward now. J
ennifer’s stories on Illumination and Illumination-curated were distributed to various topics and found many discerning readers.
You can read Jennifer’s beautifully penned writer bio submitted in early days of Illumination.
