Love: From The Highs of New Beginnings to the Sorrow of Goodbyes

Some great reads on love I’ve come across recently

Love

Love brings out all of our emotions — from the ecstasy of new meetings and falling in love with someone new to the decay of a relationship and the inevitable goodbye.

I have been reading and writing about love.

It is truly the universal emotion.

Songs are devoted to people feeling the splendor of seeing “the one.” I know exactly how that feels to make a connection with someone. Even if it’s just to smile, say hi, and just be content in that small moment of human connectivity.

I read a story about love by Jennifer Marie Gady that made me cry in its poignancy.

“We began this journey together a year ago today. I remember how excited and in love I was.

“I felt as though I had finally found where I belonged. Each moment held something new for me.

“A new smell, taste, touch, or sight. You began to show me things I never would have imagined.

“You made me feel safe and loved and most of all, wanted. These are things I had been lacking throughout my life.

“I was in awe that my life had gone from the unstable, chaotic mess I had always known to such blissful stability.

“I was a princess in a fairy-tale who was learning that there really are happy endings.“ — Jennifer Marie Gady.

Jennifer brings us through the evolution of her love relationship that went from so many beautiful moments at the beginning, but was headed to a doomed conclusion.

I have experienced similar fears as Jennifer when things have started out so perfectly and have felt so great at the start.

“All of the insecurities and fears I believed to be gone, slowly began to bubble to the surface of my heart until I could no longer ignore them. “ — Jennifer Marie Gady.

I cried after reading Jennifer’s story. I also wrote about it on my blog, “Letting Go After Feeling So Much Love.” Jennifer’s story is one that deserves to have many reads.

New Love In The Air?

My oracle card reading later indicates new or improved love is in the air. I’ve been feeling it lately, so I’m keeping my eyes, ears, and heart open. The cards just give an indication for things to meditate about, so it isn’t saying who or how the love will manifest itself.

It could be a better sense of self-love which is always a great thing. Self-love always attracts more love from the universe, so I’m all for improving my love for myself.

Especially when a lot of messages from the world encourage self-doubt that can only be resolved, the world falsely says, through consumption and purchasing items.

Here’s my oracle reading on love:

“Only we can truly realize the promise of Aphrodite in our own lives by loving ourselves by taking actions that show we love ourselves.

“These days are actually pretty sweet for going minimalist. We’re all masked up, so it is actually pretty nice to be able to “hide” behind a mask.

“In these days, smiling with your eyes is the skill you can develop. I know I’ve been noticing some nice eyes more these days.

“Send joy to others through your eyes.

“People will notice and smile.

“You’ll know, even if their mouth is protected with a mask.” — Chris Hedges.

Love Writing Prompts

I love writing prompts because I find they spark creative ideas and thoughts. I put out a writing prompt earlier this week and had some great responses.

Here’s a weekend love writing prompt because everything you write always inspires me. I love reading poems and stories that I would have never even imagined myself. That’s the beautiful thing about reading and writing. And, being around all of you creative, sexy and beautiful people!

Use these ten words in a poem or story or some new form of writing that has yet to be done:

youthful wrestle nimble cup sweltering pushy mammoth creator hallowed gleaming

Please tag me so that I can see them. 💗

Here are some tags to get the ball rolling: Marla Bishop, Gurpreet Dhariwal, Britni Pepper, Dr John Rose, Jimmy Doom, P.G. Barnett, Timothy Key, Christine Stevens, White Feather, julia Hawkins, Keno Ogbo, Sherry McGuinn. I’ll stop tagging, but remember I wish I could tag everyone, so feel free to pass this prompt along to your friends who will enjoy it.

Have a lovely day everyone!
