Your survival instinct immediately kicks in. You can’t risk getting lost searching for Scruff, but you don’t want to abandon him either.

Faint barks echo once more. They sound weak…and distant. You get the sense that the distance between you gets bigger.

An eerie feeling makes your blood run cold. You turn back to check if someone is watching you. Lurking in the shadows.

“His chances of survival are minimal either way...” An unbearable, sharp pain breaks your focus in an instant. The last thing you remember seeing are five sharp claws piercing your stomach as life leaves your body.

You died.
