Abstract

This technique involves following other writers, subscribing to their email lists, and reading their content, with the expectation that they will reciprocate. Lazar stresses that success is not accidental but rather a result of deliberate actions such as networking, consistent effort, and employing effective strategies. She advocates for a community-driven approach where writers support each other by engaging with each other's work, which in turn can lead to increased views, earnings, and a sense of belonging to a tribe of like-minded individuals. Lazar also mentions the importance of giving before receiving and the need to maintain a balanced and fair relationship among writers on the platform.

You need to know something. Success is never accidental. On the contrary.

It’s a sum of many factors and accident has very little to do with them. Good or bad luck is about 1% of your success or failure.

Add to that another 1% for talent.

The rest is networking, hard work, and method.

And that's fantastic news because that means everybody can do it.

It might seem like I'm taking the magic out of things for some of you. Actually, this is where the magic begins. Every magic formula needs a skilled wizard. And still doesn't lie in waving a wand. It lies in learning and dedication, in believing, in being a passionate lover of your craft and an undefeated seeker of truth. Magic enough for you?

Let's get to it then.

The Subscribe for Subscribe Method is as simple as it is efficient. It's a sum of both Follow for Follow and Read for Read compacted into a success-making machine.

Let me tell you how I do it.

If I'm following you and you follow back, I immediately hit the little envelope next to your name. This way, when you publish something, I get a notification so I can read your story.

When I read your story, you make money. When you see me read your story, you read mine. As a result, I also make money.

I told you it would be simple.

If I'm following you, it means I also subscribed to your emails. I am also hoping you subscribe to mine.

If you didn't get a chance yet, you can subscribe here:

I get around 1000 emails a day. Can I read them all? Of course not! I am not a bot. I read as many as I can, and because I get so many, I read more than most people here. Again, I said people, not bots. Bots definitely 'read' more than I do.

I also read everybody, in order, whether they subscribed to my emails or not. Part of the method is that I give before I receive. I make the first step and several other steps toward my fellow writer.

The method works like a charm, and everybody is happy.

I'm putting in the work, and I'm putting in the love. I haven't been disappointed in the engagement, views, claps, and earnings.

On the contrary, the method is soundproof for building community and growing your account.

However, the more followers I have, the more people I subscribe to and the more emails I get. That means that some emails are going to pass me by from lack of time. Those emails might be exactly from the people supporting me the most, my readers, my tribe, and my inspiration.

We can't have that.

So today, I decided to add another part to the method. I don't want to make all the steps anymore. That's not fair to anybody.

I subscribed to more than 1000 writers. Ninety-one subscribed back. I will have to let go of my subscription to the ones who didn't subscribe back. I don't want this to be a one-sided relationship. And I do it with no resentment whatsoever.

I understand that you are busy. You have chaotic lives. Errands to run. Houses to clean and pets to feed. I understand it so well because so do I.

But in all this turmoil that is my life, I've been missing something. Connection to like-minded souls. Writing and being read. Reading other writers like me and connecting with them.

I've been missing a tribe of writers to have by my side, and I found that here. I am so grateful for all of you who subscribed and for all who are reading, commenting, and engaging.

That’s why I am asking those of you who still haven’t subscribed to my email to do so. But only if you want the connection. The soul. To be part of a tribe. Also subscribe if you want the views, the reads, the earnings, the growth.

And if you want more of the above, subscribe to more writers. Give yourself a chance to do things right. Instead of randomly opening the articles that the platform suggests, subscribe to the writers you love and read their stories. I can tell you for a fact they will read you back. You are helping them and yourself.

The trick is no trick at all. It's as straightforward as saying hello to your colleagues, smiling when you're happy, and making an extra pot of coffee for everybody to enjoy.

I guarantee using this method will get you where you want to be. Money wise and people wise. If you're here for more than just writing, this method is for you. Get the reads, the earnings, the love.
