Lessons from a Lost Connection
Internet issues brought more abundance to my life

This morning I had planned to get an earlier start and to write about something completely different. However, the internet had other plans. It all started with my son’s chrome book from school. It wasn’t connecting to the internet. We had to contact my husband, working in the office, to help us. He gave us the wi-fi password so that we could try to reconnect and start over. That did the trick!
Now it was my turn. For the past few months, I had been working on an old MacBook Air that my sister in law had given us. However, this morning it had trouble connecting to the internet. I tried logging in again but to no avail. Since my husband has now returned to his office (he only has one co-worker), our larger, brand new PC laptop is now available for me to use. I had been planning on switching to this computer. I resisted because I knew I would have to set up everything all over again. Even though the MacBook was running slow, I felt resistant to the change. Abundance stepped in. Now I could see the possibilities! Everything is faster and easier!
We can define receptivity as “the ability to be at one with.” Here, then is a practical key to receiving more of what you want in your life: Become one with what you want. -Laurence G. Boldt
One of the biggest lessons in abundance is the ability to receive. Learning to receive can help us to give more often too. This morning, due to a lost internet connection, I was able to receive the gift of using a much better laptop. Abundance was there for me to guide me and help me to become one with what I want; to write an article that will help others.

The next time there is a problem or a technical issue, look to see the abundance there. What gifts are you getting from this situation? How has it changed your day for the better? For me, it forced me to make a change that I knew I need to make. It brought me more in the form of speed, connectivity, and ease.
When you open to receive without hindrance the energy of the universe, you are giving the world a gift. When you open to receive an inspiration or creative idea, you are giving. In truth, receiving is giving. -Laurence G. Boldt
Instead of forcing the issue and being frustrated by the MacBook’s lack of connection, I chose to receive the gift of using the other laptop. This has opened up a new world for me, which allows me to give more. What a beautiful circle life provides for us if we are willing to be in the moment and work with what we have.
My prayer and my intention for you today is that you look at each problem or frustration as a way for you to accept more abundance in your life. Look for the hidden gifts. Search for the ways in which this problem is actually a solution.
Day #3: What problem in your life can be seen as abundance in disguise?
