Lesson 12: Be 0.1 % Better Every Day to Create Extraordinary Results
Start small and grow big

Hello friend,
How are you? Today I will straight dive into today’s lesson.
If you have read my content, you know, I am a big believer in small improvements and incorporating tiny habits into daily life.
In reality, big improvements are usually fantasy and rarely happen.
For example:
- You will not be able to lose those extra 10 pounds in one week. It took me 2 years of consistent efforts to get to my ideal weight.
- You can’t become a millionaire overnight.
- You don’t wake up one day and be magically in love.
- You will not become a top writer just after publishing one article. It took me 200 articles to become 11x top writer on Medium.
- You don’t start a business that can turn into money-making instantly.
All of these require consistent work for months if not days. And how can you do it by building and doing something every day.
The concept is simple.
You can do nothing, nothing going to change Or you can be 0.1% better each day.
You build the habit
The mindset of becoming 0.1% better each day is hopeful, but without putting it to work it’s not going to help.
One day you can lose the motivation, then what?
Your results come from what you do consistently.
Habits automate the tasks that lead to results.
When you form a habit it instinctively knows it’s time to do the work.
“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” ― Jim Ryun
Grow your habit by 0.1% everyday
Okay, you’ve got the habit.
Now think, what tiny improvement can you make towards your goal today?
Start with micro habits that can easily blend into your daily routine without overwhelming you.
Make a little progress each day.
For example, if you want to run 15 miles per month, you just can’t run 30 miles in one day or a week. It will suck the life out of you if you are new.
So instead, start running 0.5 miles every day which seems quite doable and easy to achieve. And will take 15–20 minutes of your time every day.
Your results compound
Just like money, efforts also have compound effects.
It was because of the consistent effort I was putting into the habit of writing
Writing 100 words every day can give you 3000 words per month. That can easily translate to 3 articles per month.
Your efforts for today motivate you for tomorrow
When the goal of your effort is tiny, it’s straightforward to hit your target.
A 0.1% better everyday mindset makes you feel good about your work and you. It feels attainable.
“Habits stay with you even when you don’t have the motivation.” ― Neeraj Agnihotri
Your life is created by the tiny actions you take each day that goes unnoticed by the people around you.
Make your daily activities into a system using the power of habit.
Tiny effort can take your life to extraordinary places.
