Last Day of National Mental Health Awareness Month — Notice How Much We’ve Learned This Month

31st day of May — so much could be said about mental health…

Have you enjoyed the month of May? How was the weather where you live? Most of the month was raining where I live. And the temperatures were far lower than they should’ve been. But we still had growth, flowers, sunshine, hiking (in mud), you know, the stuff of spring.

It wasn’t until May 7 that I realized that it was National Mental Health Awareness month. Since then, I’ve written one article every day on various mental health subjects. (25 counting this one)

The time that I spent was valuable and worth every minute. I learned SO much that I didn’t know before about mental illness. The one thing that stood out to me was the term ‘Neurodivergent’ and that is because I realized that is what I am.

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH IN MAY

Please click on some of these links to review the articles that interest you. There weren’t enough days in May to cover everything about mental health, in fact, probably not enough days in an entire decade!

WRITERS WRITING ON MENTAL HEALTH

So many wrote about mental health awareness this month. I’d like to highlight two writers that have become special to me, not only because they write about mental health, but because of our connection on Medium.

❤️ 🧡 🧡 💚 💙 💜 🤎 ❤️ 🧡 🧡 💚 💙 💜 🤎 ❤️ 🧡 🧡 💚 💙 💜

Micheal Woodruff, mental health copywriter has written a lot of articles on mental health. This one is his most recent one that meant a lot to me.

Micheal has also compiled two lists of articles that he’s done about Neurodivergence and Mental Health. Interesting variety of subjects written from his personal perspective.

B A Little (Bev) writes a lot about mental health and publishes it in her publication, Read All About It. This article shows off a lot of her work and points you to her publication also.

It’s been a great month. Busy, productive, and even fun. I hope that the month of June will bring more memories, more learning, and more connection with you. Please be safe and healthy!
