Include ‘Self’ in Thy Compassion
In Response to Dancing Elephants Press Prompt week 28 of 52- Kindness

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion- Dalai Lama
Love thyself, heal thyself, own thyself,
Owe thyself to live by choice, not by chance.
When you spread the ripples of happiness,
You get back happiness quadrupled,
Don’t hesitate to sprinkle it everywhere unwaveringly
And live more to unearth a magical self.

Don’t be too harsh, too mean to yourself.
If you believe that tomorrow will be better and bigger,
You can bear trials and tribulations today itself.
So why can’t you forgive yourself?
To err is human to forgive divine —
So stop punishing the ‘self’, instead accept yourself.

Teach yourself that less is more —
Less complaint, less grumbling, more gratitude;
Less stress, less tension, more peace;
Less judgment, less apprehensions, more love;
Your life is nothing less than a masterpiece by HIM.
Support your own happiness by loving yourself first.

Simplify your life from the clutters and confusion,
They are a burden on your soul.
Replace them with loving yourself more.

It’s us who can notice them and cherish them while we can.
