I Would Be Burned At The Stake If I Was In Salem in 1692
With my ability to read emotions, and understand humanity and why they do the things they do, would that make a a witch?

Enjoying Misogynist Bullying in the Salem Witch Trials Still Echoes Today by Rui Alves and his power of words inspired me to write this.
Women are like dandelions growing through the cracks in the sidewalk. — Rui Alves
Yes, we are like dandelions, #WeIntend2survive no matter what life sends our way.
A few people who knew me personally told me that I was born at the wrong time. My personality type doesn’t fit the condition of this world. Neither does my thinking. Being born in poverty, life forced many females to add common sense to everything they do. We are expected to make whatever we face work. So, we find ingenious ways to fix our problems that improve our family life.
Does that make us a witch?
Accusations of witchcraft predominantly targeting women quickly spiraled out of control, leading to trials and executions that epitomized scapegoatism, injustice, and abuse of power by misogynist bullies. — Rui Alves
I was also told by many people that I am too wise for my age. I was called an old soul and told that I was perfect too. No human on this planet is perfect. Our creator made us needy, so we can love, respect, and live together in peace and unity. It’s his way of connecting us. He was smart to be aware of humanity’s need for power and greed.
I use wisdom to direct my decisions and my path and learn from the lives of others. I am aware if I did what they did, I would pay the same price they did. I want a peaceful life so I put in life, what I want from it.
Does that make me a witch?
Many of us do live together in peace, but it should be a universal thing.
With my ability to read emotions, understand humanity and why do they do the things they do, would that make a a witch?
Is empathy and compassion a superpower bestowed upon a few?
I can predict the outcome of the lives of many humans from their actions, choices, decisions, intentions, how they live, what they eat, like, and dislike, if change isn’t allowed a chance. Does that mean I am a witch?
The influence of male dominance was evident throughout the trials. Women bore the brunt of these accusations as society grappled with fears surrounding women’s autonomy and non-conformity. In hindsight, I believe the Salem trials are part of a misogynist echo chamber of power dynamics and gender biases that continue to resonate today, imposing social costs on non-compliant women. — Rui Alves
It’s common sense because our lives are manuals and I am aware and alert, thanks to the pain and the cruelty of humanity. I don’t like pain, nor do I enjoy taking pain medications. So why not use common sense and do the right thing?
Does that make me a witch?
Humans are creatures of habit, and some humans have been aware of the actions of their neighbors, family, and friends centuries ago. Some of the females in Salem knew how to utilize their common sense. Because they care and have a compassionate heart, they can sense, feel, and understand things a cruel heart can’t. Does that make them a witch?
Like the women accused of witchcraft three centuries ago, today’s women are finding ways to run their lives despite the powerful forces arrayed against them. — Rui Alves
Poverty forces many females to find innovative and creative ways to run their lives.
Does that make them a witch?
I am glad I was born now. Maybe if I was alive then, I too would be burned at the stake for caring too much about humanity. I would be branded as a witch for being too wise and having too much common sense.
The women who were seen as too independent by Puritan standards were conveniently suspected of turning to the dark arts. — Rui Alves
I am very independent, I know I would be considered a witch.
What about you? Would you be considered as a witch for being strong, responsible, sensible, smart, and independent?
Thanking Rui Alves for this inspiration and knowledge.
If your heart could speak, what would it say?
I would rather be burned at the stake for being compassionate, wise, and using common sense to better my generation and world than be alive with hatred in my heart!
