Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank you for keeping me safe in 2023. For waking me up in 2024 and giving me a new day in a New Year. A day that has rolled out of eternity and one I had never seen before. Thank you for keeping and giving me the strength to face the struggles, pain, and anguish in 2023 and for your presence and Words of encouragement to endure.

And now Lord Almighty I am grateful to see 2024.

Thank you for the grace and strength you will give me to face whatever this year has to offer. Whatever the tests and trials, I know I will not be alone, because you promise you will never leave me or forsake me.

I thank you for hope for there is no hope in the land but with you, there is hope for my hope is in you. Lord. We cannot see hope, for if I see hope it’s no hope. Oh Lord, if in this life only I had hope I would be miserable.

Oh Lord Almighty, through the power of the Holy Spirit, may you, Oh Lord abound in hope. May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace in believing.

Oh God, if in this coming year, I face hardships and pain, like Job, strengthen me to turn my gaze toward you, Oh Lord despite the sufferings. In Job 42:5, Oh Lord, I decree and declare “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eyes see you” indicating that our struggles will bring us closer to you.

Give me the strength to hold on to faith.
