I Let My Heart Speak, This Is What It Said…
Struggle though I may, I realize seasons change with time and so will I…

Recently life has been pretty chaotic for me, which is challenging, to say the least. So challenging, that I’ve been having difficulty maintaining my daily routines and completing daily goals. There has been a major redirection in my life, and the adjustment process, although welcomed, has been brutal. With all that’s going on, I barely had the time to meditate and journal over these last few days. With that being said, I am so thankful I purchased a book, a journal entitled “ What My Heart Said” by Annelise Lords.
It has been a Godsend in my time of need. Moving is not easy. Life has this funny way of throwing wrenches in plans, and mine was no exception. But this book, filled with a heart for every occasion has been a timely addition and a vehicle for my expression and thoughts on my current state of being.
As I began writing, I took the approach of finding the heart that was most fitting for my current circumstance, (there will be an update on that in the near future.)
Here was the prompt,
“Some hearts can show you the TRUTH!”
This heart, a testament to my own, is only searching for the Truth. No matter what occurs in life, I seek nothing but the best of what I have to offer. Struggle though I may, I realize seasons change with time and so will I. I was brought to this awareness in my writing, here, in this journal. It taught me how to truly perceive beginning again by remembering my abilities and trusting in the Truth of my actions, thoughts, and feelings.
I am so thankful for having a dedicated space to express myself.
At first glance, the purplish-pink book visually strikes my eye. This beautiful little book was crafted with care. The book includes a table of contents for each heart represented within. What I loved was the poetry Annelise included. As well as her own experience and reason behind the allowing of her heart to speak.
I believe in the effort put behind this work of art because life can be grueling, and unkind. But with the right tools, such as this journal, we can all learn to flip the script, creating a narrative of our circumstances that empowers and enables us to keep living putting our best foot forward.
I would recommend this journal to anyone who needs a space to commune with themselves, anyone who needs introspective understanding and self-awareness.
Thank you for reading my review, I have linked some more of my favorite pieces from Annelise Lords below enjoy!
