I Feel Weird about Sharing ‘Go Fund Me’s

But my alcoholic friend's story can easily be mine.

An Instagram picture of me at home getting drunk

I was snowed in, the roads were bad but I STILL made it to the liquor store. I have a problem…

I’m an alcoholic.

My friend is in the hospital for alcoholism.

He asked me to share his go fund me.

I’m an alcoholic so this story could easily be me:

A screenshot of my Instagram story sharing my friend’s ‘Go Fund Me’:

I can finish a whole jug of vodka in three days…I attract gifts like these:

A picture of gifts I shared on my Instagram last year…it’s oregano OKAY:)

But too much of this kind of behavior can lead to my friend’s story:

My Instagram story of Victorio’s story.

Time to clean up my act and trade my vodka for water.

Vodka got me here baby

Vodka was my is my go-to when I feel upset hurt, angry, or celebrating success. I know there are better ways to deal with all of that especially Journaling.

If you want to day drink distract yourself:

My friend’s Instagram story message to me

Look if you read my stories, I talk about how I suffer from a bunch of mental issues. I’m depressed right now for several reasons. I literally sent my family a text that read “ thanks for your encouraging words but I really don’t feel like talking to anyone right now”

I know no man is an island, so I guess writing this is my way to divert attention from myself to help someone else in need:

I initially was going to lock myself in my room and clean but it’s so messy, I procrastinated by looking at my Instagram that I've been ignoring all year. That’s when I saw my friend's message that he needs help because he’s an alcoholic.

Disclaimer:

This story includes a ‘go fund me’ link

You are not obligated to financially help.

You can support my friend through your prayers. However, if you are a millionaire that can afford even $50 bucks or just 1 dollar, your generosity is appreciated. Being hospitalized can be a real financial blow.

I feel weird about sharing ‘go fund me’s because I generally don't like asking people for money and quite frankly I don’t know if medium allows this but alas…but following the publication rules, I am declaring it as an affiliate link to cover my bum :-) .

Here’s Victorio go fund me page:

Support my Baybee with funds or prayers 🙏🏼

AND for God’s sake, please don’t judge us…no one’s perfect and we are obviously trying to be better people.

Thank you!

If you have any tips that can help alcoholism please let me know.

Here’s a 25-second YouTube video of myself drunk on a Saturday night listening to Soca music in my car parked at home:)
