How To Shoot To Keep Not To Kill
This Is What I Shot On My Road Trip

I used to be a hunter on the prowl until coronavirus grounded me.
I still shoot, mostly stills. But it is difficult to find the funny ones when you’re in the same place for an extended period.
I shoot a lot of nature shots, and I like eclectic Street Art images too, like the one above. Here is another one that was right next to it.

I found that one coming down from the highest point in South Carolina. Did you know the highest point in SC is located on the Appalachian Trail?
I have not walked the Appalachian, but I did walk the Route 66 from Chicago to LA. I saw a lot of street art on Route 66, like this one.

Occasionally, I’ll get lucky and get a chance to combine eclectic with a nature shot. Like when I saw this man with his motto tattooed on his back at Turner Falls in Oklahoma.

When you keep your eyes open, you see all kinds of things everywhere. Like this signature on a patio wall of a restaurant.

Life has its own flow and direction. I started this story with the intention of sharing some of my waterfalls pictures, but I am sharing eclectic street art, instead. I learned that there is a difference between street art and graffiti, which is an art form in itself.
While walking Route 66, I met a man named John Tew, who wrote a book about the graffiti artists of the railroad boxcars. He used to work at a Railroad yard as a security guard.

A couple of years ago, I went to Lake Livingston in East Texas where I came across The Dam Liquor Store.

And Marfa, Texas, has a place that sells inexpensive liquor.

I love to combine two of my passions into one. The Medium curators distributed this story in Creativity and Writing.
I invited my friends to share their photos. A few of them took me up on it, and this is what they shared.
Here is Amy Marley’s story.

Michele went for a walk and look at what she found.
Trista Ainsworth took a stroll in her backyard.
Timothy Key went hiking early morning in the city.
Anyone else interested in sharing their phone camera stream? Aurora Eliam, CMP, Linda Caroll, Charlotte Zobeir Ali, P.G. Barnett, Joe Luca, Paul Myers MBA.
As always, thank you for reading and responding.
