How To Know Your Body and How To Improve It
A lot of people just live and don’t realize what they’re doing, what they’re eating and how they treat themselves. Of course, we have factors that have a part in how we treat ourselves and our bodies. That is a part of how we live today.
When I have been bullied, I have that kind of trigger that someone will hurt me somehow. I always look at how someone behaves towards me. In this case, I look at how my body reacts to how I look to someone and how I think when someone comes towards me to — for example — ask me a question.
I believe it is our mindset that changes how we think about ourselves. One of those is how to know our bodies.
What do we do to our bodies and what are the effects? What food and drink do we have to use? How do we want to stay healthy? Do we always skip the unhealthy food and drinks?
Questions we have to think about a lot and frame what works for us, but I think we also have to be friendly to our body and to our skin but don’t forget to give in with our cravings. As I love chocolate, I can’t go without it, I want to give in with that.
Take care of yourself — even when you don’t feel that well
A question I ask myself a lot lately as I don’t feel me ok sometimes like everyone has. You have some off day when you don’t want to do anything or nothing is going as you have planned. At that moment you have to take care of yourself — especially then — to keep track of what your body reacts to when you don’t feel well and want to crave. Or put your nice clothes on when you’re at home, just to feel better, and not your pajamas. That is one of the things you have to do — besides not snacking your favorite candy.
Questions I always ask myself: What food and drink do we have to use? How do we want to stay healthy? Do we always skip the unhealthy food and drinks?
I’m not sure, that is what I’m finding out for myself right now. Most of the time, I like chocolate and hot chocolate as my cravings for feeling not fine, but also as I just love it or when I’m having my period.
The most important part is just taking care of yourself and your body. You have to be in this body for the rest of your life.
I believe you may eat unhealthy food and drink unhealthy drinks as ling as you also eat healthy food and find the right balance for your body and mind, as long as you practice the exercises that work for you and as long as you write down all your feelings and maybe keep up a food and mood log.
Reactions to your body from triggers
Knowing your body has not only to do with what kind of reactions you get when drinking and eating but also from situations you were in, in the past. This has to do a lot with how you have your eating pattern in your daily life. This can cause some stress factors too.
Knowing your body has also something to do with how you react when there are triggers from situations you have been through in your past. For example: when you had a car accident three years ago, your body reacts in a certain way, like when you hear or see a car you are shaking a lot and it is not going to be better somehow, even after therapy sessions you’ve got.
These reactions will be different for everyone — whether you had the same experience or not, or you were on the other side, the one who caused the accident — but one thing is for sure: we have to know our body in these situations — for when it’s happening again.
Sometimes, you have to relearn your body after these events.
How to improve the reactions on your body
When you have these triggers, or when you have these cravings, you need to take action when you don’t feel well, however, and whatever that might be. You can improve the reactions of your body. Most of the time, we make ourselves anxious about everything that scares us.
Exercise(s) you can do
Write a journal and read it once a month how you have behaved and what you felt. Eat one healthy snack every day to start with. Sit and let go your feelings and thoughts through your body, say what it is what have you done that you became this far. What you ate in certain situations and keep up a log.
When you journal your thoughts and what you have done that day, you become more aware of what habits you have and how you cope in certain situations.
Find things that make you happy, you smile when you do these habits or activities, and when you get the best feeling and thoughts from.
As I’m writing this, I’m craving chocolate and hot chocolate. Two things I can’t without. But both are unhealthy snacks for your body.
