Here Is the Recipe for an Amazing and Carefree Life
Master these 6 arts to boost your happiness.

Do you wish to be more flexible with life?
Do you fantasise about driving far away from the concrete jungle with no destination in mind, but the fear of the unknown is holding you back?
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a ridiculous amount of money to feel carefree.
People with fat bank accounts and mansions to guard are hardly carefree. If anything, they have more things to worry about.
What does carefree stand for?
Nowadays, overthinking and worrying creep into our lives like a disease.
Stress has become an unquestioned ingredient of our daily routines.
Carefree living stands for taking responsibility for your thoughts and your life so that it becomes authentic.
Carefree has nothing to do with being careless.
Except for caring less about what people think and what is expected of you.
Caring less, in that sense, will make you carefree.
How can you enjoy your life with a carefree attitude?
Don’t let the ego take charge.
When the ego takes the driver’s seat:
- you judge,
- you see the world as black and white,
- you operate from ‘What can I get?’, instead of ‘What can I give?’.
Ego urges you to strive for perfection that does not exist.
Chasing the imaginary will leave you running on an empty tank feeling depleted — the opposite of being carefree.
The best cure to tame the ego is awareness.
The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly no longer the ego but just an old, conditioned mind pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist.
— Eckhart Tolle
Ego is nothing more than stories we have learnt to tell ourselves and continue to function by.
Nobody is making you feel anxious. You have learnt to run by the pattern and perceive the world as a dangerous place.
Nothing has the power to make you feel less. You have trained your subconscious mind to expect feeling this way.
The best cure to tame the ego is awareness.
By observing your thoughts and beliefs, you get to question them.
- Where am I coming from with this jealousy?
- What do I seem to lack?
- Why do I push myself so hard? Were there any patterns in my childhood that taught me I was never enough?
When you shed a light on the root of your beliefs, they no longer control your behaviour.
The ego keeps us locked inside the endless chatter, separating us from experiencing the present moment.
When we miss out on the present moment, we miss out on opportunities.
Once the ego takes charge, you enter survival mode. It is not a space to create and act in alignment with your soul calling.
When the ego dies, the soul awakens.
— Gandhi
When you allow the ego to chatter in the back of the mind and take no heed of it, you gain clarity.
With clarity comes flexibility.
A carefree life means: running wild with your Soul’s calling.
Master the art of doing nothing.
If you are trying to keep up with the hustle culture, I bet you find it difficult to relax.
In today’s world, we are programmed to be anything but carefree.
The label of ‘being productive’ is deadly. It makes you feel not enough.
A carefree life is not about arriving at a destination but enjoying the ride, feeling the wind in your hair, soaking in the sun caressing your cheeks.
Making time and conditions to rest allows you to tune into the Higher Power — the source of your intuition and inspiration.
Our brains depend on the off-time to process the data our minds receive during the day, consolidate memory, and reinforce learning.
Here is the challenge:
Designate one hour of today to do nothing.
Sit in the park or on the porch, and observe the birds playing, the leaves falling, and the sun popping up through the trees.
It takes a great deal of discipline to resist the urge to do something and commit to doing nothing.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Your mind will come up with millions of things to do.
Do nothing.
Focus on your breathing. Don’t run ahead into the future thinking about what you should do next.
The only moment that counts is the present moment.
In the present moment, there is no worry or fear.
Where you are is enough. Where you are is where you are supposed to be.
Enjoy this moment for yourself without having a care in the world.
A carefree life means: infused with creativity. To create, you have to learn how to recharge your batteries.
Chase failure.
Determination is a gem when it comes to reaching your goals.
But there is a fine line between being persistent and being stubborn.
Persistence creates results. The more action you take, the more you grow and your confidence soars.
Life shouldn’t be a struggle. It is supposed to be an adventure.
New experiences should carry growth, not fear.
When you look at opportunities as gateways to a new chapter of your life, failure is out of the question.
Take out your journal and move along with me:
- What would you do if it was impossible to fail?
- How would you spend your day if there was no financial remuneration to gain?
Describe your perfect Sunday.
- What are the emotional states that come to your mind?
- Bliss? Peace? Faith that everything is well?
There you go.
Those are the state of being you should prioritize every day.
- What causes those states impossible in your life?
- What relationships wreak havoc on your psyche?
- What situations make you stressed?
Write them down.
- What can you do to eliminate those stressors?
- How can you approach them differently? With more compassion, humility, and courage?
A carefree life means: responding to events in life instead of reacting with stress and worry.
Celebrate every minute of your life.
You are here. Isn’t it great?
You are breathing. You are reading those words and connecting with other readers through this platform.
Isn’t it a possibility worth celebrating?
If you see life as a struggle, you will battle your way up through life.
If you see life as a space to experiment, you will find joy in it.
What happens when you do something new? You feel like a kid again. You become curious and you create more.
When we approach the world through the eyes of a kid, we become curious about life. Then we get to discover its magnificence.
You can approach every situation as a setback. But, at the same time, you can focus on things you still get to do.
We function at our best when we are positively wired.
Are you going shopping today? Treat it like the biggest adventure.
Is doing the dishes on your to-do list?
Infuse it with presence and gratitude. Feel the water running through your fingers. Bless each plate and fork you get to eat your food with.
Wake up with the sunrise. It is a pure celebration of life.
Celebrating life tunes you into the frequency of receiving blessings.
Our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us.
— Earl Nightingale
We function at our best when we are positively wired.
Miracles happen when you reach high levels of energy:
- You connect with your intuition on deeper levels.
- You attract people that mirror your mindset.
- Ideas you think about manifest easily.
If you don’t know how to enjoy little things, “big” live events won’t make you satisfied either.
When you don’t take little things for granted, your life is free of drama. It becomes simple.
Finding joy in little things is a shortcut to a meaningful life.
A carefree life means: making the little moments amount to big ones.
Master the art of letting go.
It is one of the most enthralling things in life:
losing the grip on the control.
When you allow life to run its course without manipulating or forcing anything to happen:
- you feel liberated,
- you realize that where you are is enough,
- you find time and energy to do what you love.
Attachment to things, people, and how things should play out cause misery.
Letting go is the opposite of not caring.
Detachment stands for not letting external things hold you emotionally captive.
It is vital to have goals in life.
But is it deadly if you are not flexible with your approach.
Often things turn out better than you could have ever imagined when you don’t put pressure on how things should be.
I am not talking about letting go as remaining inactive, allowing people to manipulate you or do things for you.
Letting go of control means seeing the situation for what it is instead of forcing it into what you think it should be.
You make the best of where you are without wasting energy on making the moment into something it is not.
Letting go allows you to enter the flow state.
Imagine being a cork on water carried by the waves.
You don’t sink. You don’t fight against the current.
You surf with the waves of life, enjoying every minute of the ride.

Don’t get dead serious about one outcome. Letting go has healing powers.
Holding on to too many things makes your life heavier. Happiness comes with scarcity.
A carefree life means: letting go of the baggage that weighs you down.
Embrace nature as your therapist.
Studies show that increasing the amount of vitamin D you get from sunlight boosts serotonin levels — which helps you to feel less stressed.
You think after a long day at work, resting on the couch is all you need.
But binging on Netflix and chips won’t make you relaxed in the longer run. Getting close to nature will.
Lack of movement and processed food only aggravate inflammation in your body. It causes you to feel more stressed and not skilled enough to handle anxiety.
If anything sitting at home only increases anxiousness.
Nature has healing powers. It keeps you grounded, and reduces stress, anxiety, and depression while enhancing creativity and productivity.
Nature is the embodiment of a carefree attitude.
It is light. It knows when to let go. It represents the cycle of life and death.
Go outside every day for at least 30 minutes. Take up jogging or quick marching.
Sit in the park and observe the world changing its colours for fall.
Drink your coffee outside.
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes
Wilderness anchors you in the ‘here and now’.
Worries and would-be scenarios evaporate as you cannot experience anxiety or stress while being committed to the present moment.
A carefree life does not mean a perfect one.
A carefree life is the one you feel passionate about.
You can explore it through:
- compassion,
- setting priorities straight on what serves you and what goes out of your routines,
- appreciating the present moment and the journey you have travelled,
- letting the ego take the back seat,
- prioritizing self-love.
Care more about things that truly matter to your heart.
Care less about people, events, and ideas that are superficial and suck life-energy out of you.
