Have You Seen An Octopus At Work? It’s Impressive!

Can we be productive wherever we are?

Can we be productive wherever we are?

I was out for a haircut.

With social distancing measures in place, waiting times got longer with less customers.

I had 2 guys in front of me, so I had to wait.

Being observant (Read: Nosey), I started looking around and finding ways to entertain myself.

I could have fiddled with my phone, but decided to give the phone a break as I have been using it to Live-stream for the past 2 hours.

It didn’t take long for me to capture this lady within my line-of-sight.

She is on a hair treatment — pardon me, I am a guy, hence I can’t tell what it is— and she IS REALLY busy.

She is busy throttling the keyboard of the laptop sitting on her lap, picking up calls from her phone, occasionally having her fingers flying all over her phone texting.

I could see an octopus at work.

It is funny watching her balancing the wobbly laptop as she speaks on her phone.

It was quite a sight, especially having her head wrapped in a big bag of air with an outlet that allows for hot air to escape.

It felt like there is a lot of steam released from her brains from overworking.

She is wrapped in her individual cocoon.

Many customers have come and gone.

Some mingled within themselves as they sat and waited for their hair to done.

I had some sympathy for the hairstylist taking care of her. From my view, it looks as if the poor chap is talking to the mirror.

I wonder how he feels only hearing his own voice.

He replied his own questions as well.

It was kind of sad and hilarious.

This lady is unfazed.

Her eyes are squared to her laptop and phone.

She is so focused, so into her thing.

As these thoughts start coming into my head, one prominent thought popped and magnified itself.

“What am I doing? Do some work while waiting!”

And so, I took out my phone and started typing the draft of this story-article.

I don’t know this lady.

She inspired me.

I am an Octopus convert today.
