Happiness Bubbles Over

When you feel joyful for all that you have

This morning, as I was walking over to the window in my living room, I felt spontaneous bubbles of joy. It is a feeling of beautiful, uncontrollable happiness. I felt as though I was shining from the inside out. I couldn’t help but smile and giggle, all in the same breath. It has been quite a while since I allowed myself to feel this. Before, I thought I had to follow a prescribed track on the way to joy. Now, through my journey of abundance, I realize this path was always opening up for me to explore. Life is all about walking down lots of roads. One day, you stumble upon a route that takes you to your soul. On my 100-day journey to discovering more about abundance, I am studying the book The Tao of Abundance: Eight Ancient Principles for Abundant Living by Laurence G. Bolt.

Tears of joy are streaming down my face at this very moment. Writing these words, expressing who I am is bringing me so much happiness. I feel that the energy flows from my hands on the keyboard to create something to share with others. Today I realize I am a writer, a poet, and a teacher. I am an explorer of life who has so much to share and to give.

Ease, joy, and power are natural byproducts of following your nature, and need not be sought by themselves. -Laurence G. Boldt

When we follow the path to what brings us utter joy, everything else comes along with it. It may not happen spontaneously, but it does happen over time. In many ways, through all of the changes and struggles, this is the year I truly began to live. Each day I give of my heart on the page and on the screen. The unknown is now my best friend. All I know is what I will do today. Today I will take another step.

These thoughts come to me because of the beautiful conversation I had with a friend at her coffee shop yesterday. I have seen her grow in her passion for the past year. She started roasting coffee just over a year ago. From the moment I met her, I knew she would go far. Now, she owns her own small roastery and coffee shop. Her coffee is the only coffee that I buy. Imagine knowing who roasts the coffee that spurs on your writing!

She asked me how my business was going. I told her that I decided not to help clients in their homes at this time. Instead, I help them through my group coaching and individual coaching online. I also mentioned that I was in the process of writing a book and that I write articles every day. We had such a lovely time chatting for a few minutes about the paths we have gone down in life. To realize that each person’s choice is perfect makes my heart full.

In our work, as in our relationships, and indeed the whole of our lives, the road to our destiny runs through our nature. -Laurence G. Boldt

When we follow our joy and our nature, everything else falls into place. Each day we build upon our practice by doing what comes naturally to us. For me, that is writing. It always has been. I feel that now I have come home to my true spirit. Writing takes me in a direction that feels right.
