Building Your Dream Castle

Being who you are naturally helps you connect the pieces

Yesterday morning, I opened up my laptop to a photo of a beautiful castle. I had never seen anything so captivating! I loved it so much I wrote down the name and location so that someday we can visit. It turned out to be Castle Marvao and Gardens in the Alentejo District in Portugal. It really captured my imagination and allowed me to start my day in wonder. I love all of the tiny events that happen along my path during my 100-day journey of abundance. I am studying the book: The Tao of Abundance: Eight Ancient Principles for Abundant Living by Laurence G. Boldt to learn more and share it here daily.

The Way of Te is really simple: Be what you are, follow your own nature. This will lead you to your destiny, including the work, relationships, and way of life that are naturally yours. -Laurence G. Boldt

Being our true selves is a recipe for greatness in life. We can build our own castles by connecting all of the pieces of our nature along with our experiences. Our way of constructing our dreams may be different from others, and that is how it is meant to be. We each fit intricately into the puzzle of the universe.

Last night we experienced an example of this as a family. My son brought up a board game for us all to play. It is called Castles of Mad King Ludwig by Bezier Games. I love the connection I had from seeing the photo of the castle that morning. It was fun to see how each of our different natures created a unique construction.

In this game, you take turns buying rooms, hallways, and stairs for your castle. There are different points and bonuses you can earn from the tiles and how you connect them. My husband and son are very strategic with their construction. I, on the other hand, am always mesmerized by the beauty of the room, such as the pumpkin garden.

Everything is happy if it is allowed to be in accordance with its own nature. -Laurence G. Boldt

For me, the joy of playing the castle game is to see what crazy rooms come up: the mold room, the singer’s chamber, the panic room, and more. We laughed all along the way, and it was such a fun way to spend the evening together. My husband ended up winning the game as he had paid close attention to his bonus cards. We all had our different ways of being, and they all formed our own dreams.

My prayer and my intention for you is that you follow your own nature. Find what feels best to you. You are here to build your dream castle. The materials and ways of construction are uniquely yours. We all need your beautiful creations in our lives, to create lasting beauty in the universe.
