Summary

Trista Signe Ainsworth discusses the concept of abundance, encouraging readers to recognize and embrace the universe's goodness through signs, signals, and energy, and to practice observing and counting abundance in their daily lives.

Abstract

In the article "Stomping for Joy," Trista Signe Ainsworth, a professional organizer with Joyful Minimalism, reflects on the joyous signal of her husband's stomping as an invitation to partake in life's pleasures, such as visiting their favorite patisserie. Drawing from Laurence G. Boldt's "The Tao of Abundance," she emphasizes the importance of opening oneself to the universe's natural abundance, which can be observed in the world around us, from the leaves on trees to the joy in supporting local businesses. Ainsworth suggests creating wish lists as a method to feel abundant and encourages readers to focus on their dreams and contribute to the "infinite circle of life." She also promotes her newsletter and social media presence for further engagement on living joyfully.

Stomping for Joy

Allowing yourself to receive the goodness of the universe

Since I am an empath, I can pick up on someone’s subtle energy, and even sometimes the general gist of what they want by just being with them. In the past few months, my husband has come up with a new signal that it’s time to do something fun. He stomps his feet. I love that instead of showing us that he is “putting his foot down” in anger, it is a sign of something joyful. Last night it meant it was time to go and visit our favorite patisserie. We love to support them and always stop by to say hi, just about every week. We were so happy to hear that they had a super busy weekend due to people celebrating the election results! The owner told us that they had to work through the night to create more desserts for customers.

I am enjoying my time studying abundance through the book: The Tao of Abundance: Eight Ancient Principles for Abundant Living by Laurence G. Boldt.

When we open to receive the natural abundance of the Tao, we act with ease, for we are acting from a feeling of oneness with all things. We trust the natural bounty and intelligence of the Universe and move in accord with it. Opening to receive allows the continuous free flow of energy and the revelation of inborn or innate intelligence. It is effortless. -Laurence G. Boldt

When we pay attention to the signs, signals, and energy all around us, we will be showered with the abundance of the universe. So often, we are surrounded by stories of lack and problems. This is the story that we are told. Just by looking at the golden piles of leaves forming beneath our trees in the back garden, I can observe the infinite goodness of life.

I encourage you to practice observing abundance. Look out the window and attempt to count all of the things that you see. There are untold amounts of blades of grass, leaves, rocks, sticks, branches. They all seem infinite when we try to count them.

Another way to feel abundant is to create wish lists. Remember when you were a child, and you would write lists of things you wanted for Christmas or your birthday? We loved to dream big and circle everything in the catalogs! Now, I make lists on different websites for things that I would enjoy, my family would love, or items that I want to give as gifts.

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you find the abundance that surrounds you every day. You can observe it, count it, make lists of it. It all exists to create joy for all of us. You are here to add to that infinite circle of life by contributing your creations. Never stop focusing on your dreams!

Day #14: How can you observe infinite abundance today?
