‘Frondescence’ and ‘Meezers’ and Libraries
Plus Siamese cats, and the Great — the One-and-Only — PupperJack — Jumps into Action Again

PupperJack demands to know what’s what … (see below about the neck thing)

White, scented narcissus in a pot outside my front door — mmm — lovely.

It’s not just autumn that gives us amazing colour schemes. There are a few shrubs around the neighbourhood trying to make Spring the queen of frondescence-colour.
‘Frondescence’ is a word new to me. I love it! I shall now use it at every available opportunity, including inappropriate ones, probably.
It is the process, state, or period of putting forth leaves, or the unfolding of foliage. There’s a lot of frondescence going on at the moment.

The wallflowers (above left) people have planted are flowering and scenting the air around the neighbourhood. The bluebells they haven’t planted are starting to come out, too — as they do, spreading further and further every year. They are welcome signs of Spring.

I’m endeavouring to fix a pain-in-the-neck thing and am currently trying this ‘foam’ roller wotsit for deep tissue self-massage of trigger points. Despite being called ‘foam’, it’s very hard!
I’ve only just started with it so I can’t tell you yet how efficacious it might be.
But PupperJack likes it because I have to lie full length on the floor to use it and he just loves to come bombing into the front room so he can jump on my stomach to see if he can make me throw up.
It’s very difficult trying to take a photo of a doggo who is leaping up and down on top of you when you’re lying on the floor trying to take a photo of your doggo who is leaping up and down on top of you.

Wot??? Me??? I’m just bein’ helpful and encouragin’.

This week is ‘National Library Week’. It celebrates the importance of libraries, and encourages reading.
This corgi doggo (above) is taking a bit of a break to rest his eyes before he plunges back into the worlds he’s finding in the library.

April 6th is National Siamese Cat Day.
Apparently, Siamese cats are also known as ‘Meezers’ — I’m learning a lot this session.
Meezers gambolling in the Spring frondescence. It’s like another language.
Dennett started the Photo-a-Day Challenge to help combat the pandemic blues. I’m delighted that she is continuing to do so despite Medium’s sabotage of our picture liberties.
Other practitioners who share their week with us:
Erika Burkhalter, Anne Bonfert, Tracy Aston, Lisa Bolin, Juan O. Aguilera, David Wade Chambers, June Nguyen, Mia Verita, LensAfield, Barbara Radisavljevic, Diana Lotti, Barb Dalton, Kim Zuch, K. Barrett, Penny Grubb, Ellie Jacobson, Shruthi Sundaram
