A brief story of overcoming another problematic habit for a healthier lifestyle

Sleepless nights and drowsy mornings were not fun.

I was entangled in persistent sleep issues during my sleepless nights and restless days. As the years passed, I realized that my once blissful slumbers had become an elusive dream, replaced by tossing, turning, and endless hours of frustration every night. My partner got perplexed.

My journey to reclaim the restful nights I longed for was not without its ups and downs and twists and turns. The first twist came when I discovered that my sleep issues were deeply rooted in an ever-evolving lifestyle in the name of excitement and desire to earn more money.

Late nights at the office, the constant buzz of technology and an overstuffed mind burdened with worries had gradually taken a toll on my precious sleep. Mind you, my alcohol and smoking addictions that I covered before were making it worse.

Determined to break free from this vicious cycle, I started a quest to explore the secrets of rejuvenating sleep. The path I walked was lined with unexpected discoveries and eye-opening realizations. But they were easy and simple, realized by many great souls.

Embracing the Power of Rituals

As I delved into the art and science of sleep, I stumbled upon the transformative power of rituals. Learning about adenosine and melatonin was a good start.

I began creating a soothing bedtime routine, gently signaling and reminding my mind and body that it was time to unwind.

A warm bath with Epsom salts, a cup of warm non-caffeinated tea or sugarless hot chocolate, and a few moments of peaceful meditation became my nightly companions, paving the way for a peaceful transition into dreamland.

The Magic of Environment

Another revelation awaited me when I delved into the sleep environment. Why I couldn’t realize this made me curious.
