Fifty Shades of Gurpreet Dhariwal

I am fond of teas and a variety of coffees like Green Tea, Herbal Rose Tea, Cinnamon Tea, Ginger Honey Tea, Lemon Tea, Green Coffee, and Brown Coffee.

1. I won first prize in the dancing competition when I was studying in the sixth standard. I did some crazy moves in the Adventure Park, and they all praised me like an angel.
2. I stood first in the first year, third in the second year, and second in the third year while pursuing graduation from Delhi University.
3. I joined this blogging website (I wouldn’t want to share its name as I have removed my profile from there) and became a star writer within a month.
4. I stood first in the eleventh standard too in school while expecting a compartment in one of the subjects. I topped every subject in 2003.
5. I have lived all my life in the confinement of my mind but then Delhi is the place that resonates with my soul. I have been to various places within India and abroad though.
6. In 2004, I learned how to drive a car but after meeting with an accident in 2016 and left with multiple fractures I never drove a car again. I was bedridden for a good four months. After that, I learned to walk on crutches, a walker, and a stick.
7. I joined the gym for the first time in 2011 as I wanted to be fit even when I weighed just 54 kgs. I know I was a crazy girl.
8. I have never faced major or drastic issues health-wise, but I am dead sure even without meeting a Psychologist that I am severely depressed, anxious, and suicidal (not suicidal anymore). I am going to consult one after the corona pandemic goes away.
9. I married an asshole who was beating me all black and blue until I realized I wanted to leave him forever. I fought my divorce case under Dowry Act, Domestic Violence Act, and Civil Rights. I won my case this year.
10. I love myself a lot even though I remain depressed 24x7. I talk to myself looking in the mirror. I paint and sketch. I sing songs. I jump on the bed. I do everything that makes me realize I am me.
11. In India, I stayed in Pune for a maximum of 2 months. I traveled to Mumbai, Bangalore, Kochi, Patiala, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Lansdowne, Shimla, Manali, Jim Corbett, Jaipur, Indore, Kerala, Nahan, Hemkund Sahib in Uttrakhand, Joshimath, Haridwar, Hrishikesh, Dehradoon, Fatehpur Sahib, Jallandhar, Ludhiana, etc. Abroad, I have been to Pakistan, Oregon, South Carolina, Srilanka, Maldives, London, Amsterdam, and Munich.
12. I am currently the author of three books, Domestic Violence Survivor, Domestic Violence Advocate, Sketcher, Poet and a Dog Lover.
13. I have been published in various anthologies, magazines, and books. I am writing the fifth book of the year i.e., my novel and sorting my prose books to reach out to you soon. I am getting published in one of the anthologies that has been picked by London Based Publicist and my interview in another Indie Authors has been published this year.
14. I am a healthy diet practitioner. Even though I may end up eating junk once in a blue moon I always come to eating healthy food more often because it keeps me less depressed and anxious.
15. I drink 20 Liters of water in five days and my father is always like “Where did all the water go”?
16. When my sacrum bones were broken, and I have had multiple fractures they suggested surgery, but I never went for one. I recovered on my own as I was young and still, I am. I feel pain during winters when it’s really cold out there, but I keep going on.
17. I was once operated on for Kidney Stone in 2008 and since then I have never given up on drinking 3 bottles of water in a day.

19. I have lived alone after separating from my retarded husband for good three years. I learned to cook various delicacies starting from North Indian Food to South Indian Food, Mexican, and Italian too.
20. I never went for one-night stands in my life. I wish I would have done that at least once.
21. While growing up all I have faced was domestic violence at home. My father has taught me some of the great lessons in life. That’s why I couldn’t deal with the domestic violence of my retarded husband.
22. I care for my parents a lot. No wonder, my mother is my best friend.
23. I started writing when I turned 16 and I wrote my first story when I was 20. I threw it away and never got it published.
24. I spend most of my time overthinking about situations that will never happen to me. I curse assholes and genuinely care for great souls.
25. I caught Chicken Pox when living alone in Pune in 2017. I detest that city for the same reasons.
26. I am double masters and planning to pursue a PhD in Domestic Violence.
27. I have worked in 10 different jobs in a career of 8 years. I got more than 15 offer letters and I used to go on interviews just for fun. I loved collecting offer letters to know my worth in the market.
28. I am a highly sensitive person. I may not cry in front of you listening to your story, but I do cry while going to bed. Some days are harder than other days and I pray to God to take away all my suicidal thoughts.
29. I love Kira Dawn for treating me like her family member and knowing in and out of me like a true soul. I see myself in her and vice-versa. I am happy in my skin, and I know who I am.
30. I am super fond of dogs and cats. I talk to street dogs and feed them Marie gold biscuits. I once had a dog named Rouble, but he died when he was six months old because he ate a lizard. He died in front of my eyes, and I realized how broken I felt from inside as a kid. I have 16 skater dresses and I am going bonkers while putting them back to the Almirah because corona didn’t let me wear anything out this time.
