Evolving Your Spirit
Day 34: Stepping out of the mind and body and into a new realm

In the early morning light, I saw two squirrels merrily chasing each other across a highway of maple tree branches. It evoked in me a sense of pure joy, a feeling of playfulness, and fun. I love receiving a message from nature about life every single day. I am ever-evolving as I walk down the path of life on my journey to explore The Infinite Self and other books by Stuart Wilde. This article is the last in my series on this book, however, on my 100-day journey, I will also explore his other books.
Every moment of every day, we are evolving. We are learning, growing, and changing. No moment is ever truly the same as the last moment. Embracing the path of change in our lives is the way forward to find your true spirit. It is amazing when we look back in time, to only just a few days ago in our lives, how far we have come in our discoveries. Each day we can leap forward in the growth of our spirits if we choose to become aware of the signs all around us.
What is happening is awesome. In a way, for a little human mind, it’s terribly scary. But in another sense, it’s terribly beautiful. For me, the decision was easy because I’d been everywhere, done everything, and if I didn’t search for some other place to evolve, I was finished. -Stuart Wilde
For me, this was the year that I decided to explore this spiritual path. I chose the word becoming as my word for 2020. Little did I know that this year would gift me the time and space to truly start to become my true self. In the past, I never took the time to ponder who I was deep inside. I struggled to be accepted. I kept trying to be a chameleon, changing myself to fit the situation. I knew deep in my heart that wasn’t the solution, and it wasn’t who I was.

For many of you, this is your process as well. You’re done with this mundane earth-plane stuff. You’ve done with the crud, yet you don’t need to die. What you need is the courage to evolve. -Stuart Wilde
Each step of this journey to my true self has taught me something profound. I am now finding my spirit, it was buried deep inside me all along. It was always there to accompany me, but I did not see it before. I now allow myself to connect to my spirit, anytime I choose.
I did not grow up in a spiritual or religious household. My grandma Marion, who lived with us, was very spiritual. She was so quiet, kind, and full of grace. I believe her spirit was strong. She would often sit quietly, and would always be utterly contented with the small pleasures in life.
My grandma loved grocery shopping. She would spend lots of time preparing her lists and looking over all of the advertisements. She was very sharp and would do all of her calculations, using double coupons to get the best deals. She had such a twinkle in her eye when it came to saving money.
One of my fondest memories of her shows her true inner spirit that she let shine through. I knew that whenever she bought Wheaties cereal, she wanted me to make ranger cookies because that cereal was one of the main ingredients. I saw that cereal there, and I would know what would delight her. Many thought she was very passive, but I feel that she had a beautiful inner strength and silent power. I believe that when we find delight and joy in the ordinary, that sets us free. Free to be who we truly are.

You’re the garbage man — eternal, immortal, hauling garbage. Looking up the street and seeing through people like they’re transparent. Being a part of those angelic dimensions. Being a part of the spirits of nature. Understanding the evolution of water and air, earth and fire. Living inside an etheric dimension, on the one hand, and being a garbage collector on the other. -Stuart Wilde
When we can go back to our true selves, we are free to just enjoy being in this life. We can find joy in picking up garbage, sweeping the floor, and grocery shopping like my grandma. Day by day, I find my true spirit in all that I do. I see the eternal nature of the world when I am gardening, or just washing the dishes. What a beautiful, infinite world we live in at this present moment.
My prayer and intention for you today is to look inside yourself and find your true spirit. Who are you? How are you evolving right now? You are here to discover your beautiful heart, your spirit, and your soul. When you discover these you have freedom. That allows you to create and share. We need your spirit to be wide open today. You are love!
How are you evolving right now?
