Embracing Your Spirit

Day 31: Being secure, abundant and trusting that life is here for you

Morning is a time of new beginnings. The first light comes up over the fence, and I feel the awakening of the world. As I set off on my path for this morning’s walk outside, I saw a hummingbird. It flew directly in front of my face. What a delight! The hummingbird symbolizes joy in the small things, flexibility, and the sweetness of life. What an uplifting message for today! Today is a joyful day on the path of exploring the book The Infinite Self by Stuart Wilde for 100 days.

Embracing your spirit means embracing the unknown daily. It means putting your trust in life to always be there for you as you need it to be. Often we have so many negative messages swirling all around us. When we embrace our spirit, we can feel secure in a world that seems chaotic.

Spiritual discipline is staying in the emanations of the God Force, believing when you can’t see, knowing when you can’t logically confirm it, being secure when everything around you looks insecure, being silent in a noisy world, being abundant when people tell you we’re running out of everything. Stay inside that spirituality, and if you lose it, come back. Pull back. Organize. Be silent. Meditate. Pray. -Stuart Wilde

Being inside your spirit is the ultimate exercise in trust. When everyone around you is worried and anxious, you remain calm. You have a beautiful light inside your heart that knows everything will work out. Sometimes your trust in life will be tested. You will start to take on the anxiousness of the world around you. You might begin to worry about things. If you can work on pulling back into yourself and come back to spirit, you can find that trust again.

Many times in life my spirit was tested. Ever since I made a shift in my life and my business, I have felt fear along the way. I have doubted that anyone would want to or need to sign up for my offerings. I have gotten anxious about what I am going to do next. I have worried about taking time off this summer. Going through these trials of my mind has been a test of the strength of my inner spirit. We must stay strong in our trust amongst so much darkness. We must be the light within the turmoil.

The central discipline is transcendence. What will you do today that will assist you in going beyond the physical experience and comprehending the journey better? Spiritual discipline is no more than keeping your eye on the God Force. -Stuart Wilde

Go back to the God Force. That is the key. We can lose our way on the path sometimes. Some days we can choose to get caught up in negativity, in despair, and doubt. It is natural to get lost in the outside world at times. We must have grace with ourselves when this happens. We know that we can get back on the illuminated trail. We will come back to our spirit and back to the light. Life is a winding road of learning, growing, and redirecting ourselves toward trust.

My prayer and intention for you today is to find trust in your spirit. How can you trust today? How can you find the light again? Trust your heart and know that you are likely to veer off the path sometimes. Give yourself love and grace today. Know that you have a spirit that you can trust to bring you back to your beautiful self. You are the light!

How are you trusting life today?
