Elephant Money: 332,332,822.22564 little Elephants & 259.957354211883 TRUNKs too!!!
This is how much I bought, how I bought them, & what I did with them.
In this article, I’ll talk about how & why I bought a whole bunch of Elephant tokens, some TRUNK tokens, & was able to invest into the Stampede section of the Elephant Money project.
(NONE OF WHAT I WRITE IN MY ARTICLES IS TO BE TAKEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. I am not an advisor for this nor am I suggesting any financial action on your part. DYOR. NFA.)
Why buy Elephant tokens?
If you have read the first article I did on Elephant money then you know it was on the Elephant token.
This is basically, the easiest way to get involved with Elephant Money.
You just swap some of your other tokens into Elephant tokens & then they will passively earn you more Elephant tokens. You don’t even have to move them out side of your wallet. You can keep them there & they will earn more tokens.
No other investing required!
Buying the Elephant tokens…& using them
Buying Elephant token was a little tricky for me.
There are basically, 2 places you can purchase Elephant tokens. You can buy from Bertha on the Elephant Money website or you can swap for Elephant tokens on PancakeSwap.
Buy with Bertha — only 8.5% taxes but charges a higher gas fee for the transaction. (recommended for larger purchases)
Buy with Pancakeswap — 10% tax, charges a much lower gas fee for the transaction, & you must manually set the slippage to 12%. (recommended for smaller purchases)
I tried to buy $48.16 worth of Elephant token using Bertha. I noticed that the gas fee was going to be around $9. So, I cancelled the transaction.
I tried to swap some BUSD for Elephant token on Pancake swap but it wouldn’t work either. It kept erroring out! I tried all the usual slippage 0.1%, 0.5%, & 1.0% amounts. It still wouldn’t work!
I then had to do some more research & found the following video on the Elephant Money YouTube channel.
At 1:14 he started talking about buying with Pancake Swap, which was exactly what I was looking for.
They have great tutorial videos on the Elephant Money YouTube channel!
(As a side note, Crypto Stu has some really good articles about getting started in Elephant Money, like this one. I have taken his advice & started with the Elephant token.)
After learning about how this works, I was able to use Pancake swap to buy 332,332,822.22564 Elephant Tokens on 4/1/23.
They have been sitting in my wallet since then. I haven’t moved them, staked them, & changed them in any. Yet, they have been steadily growing.
After 6 days, I now have 332,341,052.574481 tokens, up 8,230.348841 tokens!
On the grand scheme of things this is a very small dollar amount. But it is still a growth of 0.87% over those 6 days, for just letting it sit there.
I’ll be buying more of this token on a regular basis, according to my Crypto budget.
Enough about Elephant token. Now it’s time to look at my TRUNK purchase…
Why buy TRUNK tokens?
This may also be a good investment because it is very low priced at the moment.
TRUNK tokens are supposed to be pegged to the US Dollar. They are currently at around $0.18 each. You could say that they are “on sale.”
This means that if I buy 1 TRUNK token, at $0.18, & then the price one day goes back up to $1, essentially I have more than five times my investment! If I invest $100, while they are at $0.18 each, & they then go back up to $1 each, then my $100 turns into $555.55!
That’s over 555% return on my investment!!!
Buying the TRUNK tokens…& using them
Buying TRUNK tokens was a lot easier than buying Elephant tokens.
I was able to buy TRUNK using Pancakeswap, just like any other token. I spent the same amount of money buying TRUNK tokens as I did buying Elephant tokens. I then used Pancakeswap to purchase 259.957354211883 TRUNK tokens.
I got busy with life & work so they sit in my wallet for a few days, doing nothing…
Once I got some free time, I moved 200 of then into Stampede, saving the other 59.95 tokens for next time.
Now my TRUNK is earning interest & growing. I’ll continue to buy these tokens & deposit them into Stampede. At current prices, depositing 200 TRUNK to compound costing around $36. This is very inexpensive compared to Elephant Money Futures.
Eventually, I may start investing in Futures as well. At this point I’m building my TRUNK earnings via Stampede.
In summary
So now I have a whole bunch of Elephant tokens, a few TRUNK tokens, & am earning interest in the Stampede!
My plan is to continue to purchase these tokens, using DCA.
I’ll keep the Elephant tokens in my wallet, for growth there.
I’ll withdraw my earnings from Stapmede, once I get a few dollars worth earned. At which point, I’ll invest another 200 TRUNK to increase my earnings for next time.
