Summary

The author has been experimenting with two distinct strategies for BNB Miner investments, evaluating their effectiveness over two weeks and deciding to continue with the strategy that involves daily withdrawals and reinvestments.

Abstract

The author of the article has been exploring different investment strategies with BNB Miner, a cryptocurrency mining platform. Over a two-week period, the author tested two strategies: the first involved withdrawing and reinvesting 100% on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 50% on Saturdays, keeping the other 50% as profit; the second strategy entailed withdrawing and reinvesting 50% daily. The article details the financial outcomes of each strategy, including the total value locked (TVL) and the return on investment (ROI) in BNB and USD terms. After analyzing the results, the author concluded that despite the overall miner TVL decreasing in both strategies, the second strategy resulted in a personal TVL increase of 1.27% and a higher percentage of the withdrawal amount kept as profit (20.03%), which led to the decision to stick with the daily reinvestment strategy. The author also acknowledges the unpredictability of future outcomes due to BNB price fluctuations and changes in the miner's TVL.

Opinions

  • The author believes that strategy #2, which involves daily withdrawals and reinvestments, is more effective than strategy #1 for their BNB Miner investments.
  • The author is cautious about the future performance of their investment due to the unpredictable nature of BNB prices and the miner's total value locked (TVL).
  • They emphasize the importance of considering both the amount and the value of BNB earned when evaluating investment strategies.
  • The author suggests that their decision to continue with strategy #2 could change if the market conditions significantly impact the BNB price or the miner's TVL.
  • They mention that additional investments made during the week can significantly affect the overall profitability of the chosen strategy.
  • The author encourages readers to join Medium and follow their work, implying satisfaction with the platform's ability to reach an audience and generate income.

BNB Miner Strategy Update

How did it work for me?

Photo by Austin Chan on Unsplash

If you have been following me then you know that I have been trying a couple of different strategies with BNB Miner…

Well, I’ve done this for over 2 weeks now & I need to take another look at these strategies & see how they are working.

Remember, I am a small fish in a sea full of BIG whales. (Sounds like another cool article title. I may have to write about this one day.)

Anyways, let’s talk about how this has worked out for me so far.

Be warned. There are a lot of numbers to consider further along in this article…you may have to take it slowly, like I did, in order to see the patterns laid out.

(NONE OF WHAT I WRITE IN MY ARTICLES IS TO BE TAKEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. I am not an advisor for this nor am I suggesting any financial action on your part. DYOR)

Two Strategies & how they work

So I have been experimenting with 2 different strategies in BNB Miner.

  1. Withdraw & reinvest 100% on Monday & Wednesday mornings. Then withdraw & invest 50% on Saturday evenings. Keep 50% of the Saturday evening withdraw for profit.
  2. Withdraw & reinvest 50% everyday. Keep 50% for profit everyday.

So how have these strategies worked for me?

Which one should I choose?

What do I think will happen in the future?

Firstly, let’s talk about strategy #1 from above.

This is what happened from 2/6/23 till 2/11/23, while using strategy #1.

  1. On 2/6/23, I withdrew 0.06316 BNB ($20.67) & reinvested 100% back into my TVL. This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.42). It raised my TVL from 1.06174 BNB to 1.12468 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,561.57 BNB
  2. On 2/8/23, I withdrew 0.08081 BNB ($26.83) & reinvested 100% back into my TVL. This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.43). It raised my TVL from 1.03817 BNB to 1.11878 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,539.98 BNB.
  3. On 2/11/23, I withdrew 0.11448 BNB ($35.54) & reinvested 50% , which was 0.05724 BNB ($17.77). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.40). It raised my TVL from 0.98411 BNB to 1.04119 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,502.69 BNB.

Total amount withdrawn = 0.25845 BNB ($83.04).

Total amount reinvested = 0.20121 BNB ($65.27)

Total kept for ROI = 0.05724 BNB ($17.77, 21.39% of total withdraw amount)

My beginning TVL = 1.06174 BNB

My ending TVL = 1.04119 BNB (Down 0.02055 BNB, or 1.93%)

Miner beginning TVL = 1,561.57 BNB

Miner Ending TVL = 1,502.69 BNB (Down 58.88 BNB, or 3.77%, (more than my personal TVL))

Total cost in gas = 0.00393 BNB ($1.25)

In the end my TVL went down 1.93%, I kept $17.77 for the week, & the overall miner TVL went down 3.77%.

Now, let’s talk about strategy #2 from above.

This is what happened while using strategy #2.

  1. On 2/12/23, I didn’t interact with this miner on this day. (Not sure why I didn’t interact with the miner on this day but, I have no records on what happened.)
  2. On 2/13/23, I withdrew 0.05795 BNB ($16.82) & reinvested half, which was 0.028975 BNB ($8.41). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.40). It raised my TVL from 0.97543 BNB to 1.00449 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,472.14 BNB.
  3. On 2/14/23, I withdrew 0.03434 BNB ($10.12) & reinvested half, which was 0.01717 BNB ($5.06). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.39). It raised my TVL from 0.95934 BNB to 0.97656 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,453.64 BNB.
  4. On 2/15/23, I withdrew 0.03449 BNB ($10.48) & reinvested half, which was 0.017245 BNB ($5.24). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.40). It raised my TVL from 0.95358 BNB to 0.9708 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,470.68 BNB.
  5. (On 2/15/23, I also added another 0.082 BNB ($25) , as per My $100 Crypto Budget. This additional investment cost me 0.000749 BNB ($0.23). It raised my TVL to 1.05367 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,470.25 BNB.)
  6. On 2/16/23, I withdrew 0.03557 BNB ($11.27) & reinvested half, which was 0.017785 BNB ($5.24). This cost me 0.00131BNB ($0.42). It raised my TVL from 1.01559 BNB to 1.03342 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,459.25 BNB.
  7. On 2/17/23, I withdrew 0.04296 BNB ($13.26) & reinvested half, which was 0.02148 BNB ($5.24). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.40). It raised my TVL from 0.99467 BNB to 1.01601 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,464.64 BNB.
  8. On 2/18/23, I withdrew 0.04941 BNB ($15.56) & reinvested half, which was 0.024705 BNB ($7.78). This cost me 0.00131 BNB ($0.42). It raised my TVL from 0.96323 BNB to 0.98783 BNB. This also brought the miner TVL to 1,445.53 BNB.

Total amount withdrawn = 0.25472 BNB ($77.51).

Total amount reinvested = 0.20936 BNB ($61.98), including the 0.082 BNB ($25) on 2/15/23.

Total kept for ROI = 0.04536 BNB ($15.53, 20.03% of total withdraw amount)

My beginning TVL = 0.97543 BNB

My ending TVL = 0.98783 BNB (Up 0.0124 BNB, or 1.27%)

Miner beginning TVL = 1,472.11 BNB

Miner Ending TVL = 1,445.53 BNB (Down 26.58 BNB, or 1.80%)

Total cost in gas = 0.00786 BNB ($2.66)

In the end my TVL went up 1.27%, I kept $15.53 for the week, & the overall miner TVL went down 1.80%.

(If you don’t count the $25 extra investment I was able to keep $43.19, which is 55.72% of my withdraw amount. But my TVL may not have gone up as much as it did. )

Which one should I stick with? Strategy #1 or strategy #2?

Photo by Jon Tyson on Unsplash
  • In strategy #1, my TVL went down, the miner TVL went down, & I was able to keep $17.77 (21.39% of withdraws).
  • In strategy #2, my TVL went up, the miner TVL still went down, & I was able to keep $15.53 (20.03% of withdraws). If you take out the $25 extra investment then in strategy #2, I was able to keep $43.19 (55.72%).

I usually only add an extra $25 investment twice per month, when I get paid from my real job. If I had put an extra $25 into the miner during the week I used strategy #1, then I would be negative $7.23 that week. If I had not put an extra $25 in during the week of strategy #2, then I would have kept $43.19.

Therefore, I will continue to use strategy #2, for the near future.

What do I think will happen in the future?

Well, that’s a bit complicated…depending on the price of BNB & the overall TVL of the miner.

  • If the price of BNB goes up then the value of my withdraws will go up accordingly.
  • If the TVL of the miner goes up then the amount of BNB I earn daily will go up as well.
  • If the price of BNB goes down then the value of my withdraws will go down.
  • If the TVL of the miner goes down then the amount of BNB I earn will go down.

Now to mix it up a little…

  • If the price of BNB goes up but, the TVL in the miner goes down the the value of my earnings may go up but the amount I earn will go down.
  • If the price of BNB goes down but the TVL in the miner goes up then the value of my earnings may go down but the amount I earn will go up.
  • If the price of BNB stays about the same & the TVL in the miner stays about the same then the value of my earnings may stay the same & the amount I earn may stay the same.

As you can see, anything can happen. Only God knows the future.

For the moment, I’ll stick to using strategy #2 on this miner & see what the future holds.
