I just doubled my DRIP ROI!!!

How I did it & what I might do next…

So now it is time for another DRIP article.

This time we will talk about how my ROI & profitability have recently been effected. (As a reminder, I am a very small DRIP investor compared to some people. So my dollar amounts might be smaller but the percentages should be pretty close no matter how much DRIP you have.)

(NONE OF WHAT I WRITE IN MY ARTICLES IS TO BE TAKEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. I am not an advisor for this nor am I suggesting any financial action on your part. DYOR)

As you may already know, I first invested in the DRIP Faucet back on 10/02/22, when you could buy 2.8454926 DRIP for $20, which is how I got started.

I had heard & read so many success stories about how people used there profits from DRIP to buy vacations, big boats, & other nice stuff. I decided to take a small chance & invest in the DRIP Faucet.

As you may also know, I steadily hydrated & invested more funds into DRIP. I was looking at how the price was going down & that the same amount of money would buy me more tokens than before.

Now I have 384.463 DRIP in the Faucet & my max payout so far is 1403.29.

I have also claimed 194.205 DRIP along the way. This is to try to get me to ROI & then play with the profits, like any other investment projects.

  • On 12/4/22, I was at 10.04% ROI.
  • On 12/31/22, I was at 11.56% ROI. Only up 1.52% in a whole month! The price had gone down to $0.88!
  • On 1/28/23, I was at 11.92% ROI, only up 0.36% in almost 2 months. The price has gone down again to $0.44! This is half what it was at the beginning of the year!
  • On 3/4/23 (yesterday), I was at 20.33% ROI, up 8.41% in a whole month. the DRIP price had gone up to $0.55. My ROI had gone up a lot more than previous months!!!

My ROI basically doubled in a little over a month!!!

Why was my ROI so low for so long?

Photo by Matt Ridley on Unsplash

It’s just that I have been in this project for over 5 months & am only at 20% ROI.

Why did this happen?

This is for several reasons:

  1. I invested more funding into the project before I made ROI.
  2. The DRIP price has fallen to very low numbers.
  3. I should have claimed more while the price was going down, instead of keeping it in the faucet.

So how did I double my DRIP ROI?

Knowing what we know from above, I realized that my current DRIP strategy was going nowhere fast.

I needed to change!

So this is what I did…

  1. My first step was to, temporarily, stop investing more funding into DRIP. I may invest more later after I have made ROI, depending on how things look at that time.
  2. I reduced the number of times I hydrated each week. I may only hydrate once per week, to increase my max payout. I may also go the whole week without hydrating, depending on gas fees & DRIP price.
  3. I have been withdrawing every Saturday evening. This is after my DRIP earnings have had time to build up some.
  4. Last, but definitely not least, the DRIP price has gone up some overall. Today it is at $0.53. This has increased the USD value of my withdraws.

All of this together has increased my DRIP ROI faster than before. The faster I ROI then the faster I can start playing with house money & increasing my profits.

So now what?

Photo by Tim Mossholder on Unsplash

Well, as I can’t tell the future & don’t know what will happen with the future DRIP price, all I can say is that it depends…

  • If the DRIP prices continues to go up then I should ROI a lot faster & with even less DRIP claimed. This will enable me to start hydrating more often again & increase my max payout.
  • If the DRIP price stays the same then It will still help me get to ROI faster. Just not as fast as if the price continued to go up. I’ll still follow my current DRIP strategy, like I did this past month.
  • If the DRIP price goes down then it will depend on how it compares to the gas fees. Too close to the gas fees & it would no longer be worth it t hydrate anymore. If it goes down put not too close to the gas fees then I’ll probably just wait a little longer before I claim towards my ROI.

Time will tell if the prices goes up or down…

In any case, my new goal is to ROI as quick as possible!

It is only profitable if I ROI. Otherwise, it would be a loss…

Here’s hoping for a better future for DRIP!

Thanks for reading!

Till next time.
