Does It Even Matter if It’s a Twin Flame?

Either way, the point of the experience is the same.

It’s important not to get fixated on the wrong thing, and sometimes the wrong thing is a label. People often come to me to figure out if they've met their twin flame, but that isn’t what’s significant in such a question. If you even think you may have met your twin flame, then you should be focused on transformation — not the nature of the relationship with that person.

If it’s a twin flame: Your task is to heal yourself to the best of your ability. You must align with your soul journey and express your highest good in the world. You’ve met your mirror, your twin soul, and you’ve been smacked in the face with the weirdest and most nonsensical experience that humanity can have. This person has entered your life because your soul is elevated enough to be able to accept such a wild and crazy experience and allow it to heal your human self. You must go ever closer toward the light.

If it’s not a twin flame: It’s a relationship that drives you nuts — mirroring something about yourself that isn’t working. It’s pure pain. It reveals some kind of hurt within you that you have not yet healed. You must align with your soul journey to express your highest good in the world. Understand who you are better so you can invite healthy relationships into your life. Learn the karmic lesson.

Both options are pretty similar. The outcomes are the same. The name of the game is healing.

For those who can’t fully integrate the learnings of a twin flame experience into their lives, the point will go over their heads and be lost. But for those of us who are healed enough to begin to understand the greater purpose of all things in the universe, the lessons will have a great impact. Twin flames blow our minds and awaken our souls — the path becomes clear.

With non-twin-flame relationships, there’s still a great opportunity to learn and grow. You should never accept treatment in your relationships if it leaves you feeling small or abused. Don’t let your power be limited. As much as it hurts to be rejected by someone, don’t go running after them if they aren’t nice to you.

I guarantee you that the lesson is never to become obsessed with getting someone to come back into your life.

Whether or not you’ve met your twin flame, the universe definitely does not want you to spiral out of control into an abyss of obsession. Chasing a person is never the goal. Your soul lesson is to take this painful experience and allow the pain to transform you into a person who loves themself.

The more you are happy alone, unfettered by the outside world, and completely content with what you have in the present moment, the more healed you are. And this is the real gift. This is the prize.

If your endgame is to get the person to be “in union” with you instead of for you to be in union with yourself, then you have to stop and think if you’re getting the most out of this soul lesson. It doesn’t really matter if it’s a twin flame or not. All that matters is that you become the best version of yourself possible.
