Comfort
#16 of 31 Days of May SCWBI Challenge- Tanka

Comfort is a hug
Arriving home warm and safe
Breathing in deeply
Reliable self embrace
Feel the energy release
There was a spell of time where I didn’t enjoy a hug at all.
Now… can’t get enough of them. A chance to release some oxytocin and get a dose of happiness and comfort. Bring it!
If there is no-one around, and I really need one, I embrace myself.
Always a way.
Pieces prompted from others at play
Saloni Joshi stunning piece
Indra Raj Pathak poetically proposing a powerful question
Rasheed Hooda’s flower pots
and a visit to a “lost” ancient city
If I have missed any others that have been prompted by this challenge, I apologise…please give me a nudge and I will add them to the next prompt. At the conclusion of the challenge I will create an index to all the rippling treasures this prompt uncovered.
“Comfort” – today’s prompt from the 31 days of May challenge being run by SCBWI West (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) …if anybody feels like participating, join in as you please.

*I tried many different ways to embed this link this morning. The others were fine, so it was puzzling why today it didn’t play nice and easy. It is a test for me to hit publish when it wasn’t exactly how I expected. An enforced practice for me!
