Club Versus Axe

You don’t see much option but to fight. The moneylender has a club… but you have an axe!
Pulling your weapon, you dodge backwards once, then again. The blows of his club swish past your face harmlessly.
You have been backed against the door, but it has allowed you to regain your balance…
As his club thumps harmlessly against the wall, you duck under his arm, spin, then hack your axe into the back of his head. Blood spurts out, and the body falls lifelessly at your feet.
You stoop to wipe your axe, then glance around the moneylender’s shop…
On impulse, you decide to…
- Take a few hundred gold, and leave the ring. It’s the deal you should have got in the first place (click here).
- Grab all the valuable stuff you can find — rings, bracelets, the lot — then flee from town (click here).
