A few hundred from the moneylender is enough for your goal. You won’t succumb to greed.
You hurry outside. Crossing town, you pass two armed guards. Your heart races, but they ignore you.
Getting directions outside the tavern, you reach the market. Everything is closing. A beggar shows you to a blacksmith’s home. You tip him a coin.
The blacksmith is surly at first, but when you show him the money, his expression changes. Soon you have a chainmail shirt, a helmet, a sword, and a bow and arrows.
Ready to fight.
