WALKING ROUTE 66

Chicago to L.A. — Recap Week 9

From Joplin, Missouri, to Afton, Oklahoma, plus hiatus in Houston.

Route 66 is America’s most famed highway. People come from all over the world to travel up or down the historic highway.

On July 20th, 2016, I set off to traverse the Historic Route 66 — from Chicago to Santa Monica — on foot.

Yes, it sounds crazy, but haven’t you ever had a crazy idea? Well, I decided to follow through on mine and finish it.

Here is the summary of week 9, from day 57to day 63, as I recount the odyssey and reflect on the memories and lessons learned.

The Journey Continues.

While the distance traveled on the road was 44 miles, I walked well over 100 miles, according to my Fitbit, while moving around looking for places to see, things to do, and at the gym and work.

Beautiful Faces.

Doing Nothing.

Last Day of Hiatus.

Heading Back.

Back on the Road.

More Surprises.

Eternal Beauty.

As always, thanks for reading and responding.

Stay blessed and be happy, my friends.

Here are the recaps from previous weeks:
