Bing AI chatbot goes mobile
Microsoft adds AI chatbot to mobile apps and Skype
After launching its new Bing chatbot earlier this month, Microsoft has shown initiative to bring its AI chatbot to more products, services, and devices.
(In fact, they seem so eager to crush the AI game that a regional Microsoft CTO might have spilled the beans about the highly anticipated GPT-4 release)
Starting today, Microsoft users can access the Bing AI chatbot on mobile apps for Android and iOS, as well as in the Skype app, making AI conversations a fancy new tool within one-on-one or group chats.
Benefits of a mobile AI chatbot
Translating, planning trips, co-writing, recommending movies, or having a debate moderated by the AI — the benefits are pretty obvious and Microsoft’s fine-tuning of the conversational architecture ensures it runs safely and provides the best experience for users.
Future plans
Microsoft has already announced that the chatbot could be used in other apps like Teams in the future. As the Bing AI chatbot gains popularity, the software giant will most likely look for other possible implementations in its product lineup.
Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot is not the first among the new generation of GPT-3-driven mobile apps, but the company’s market dominance and research power may well enable them to shape the playing field for virtual conversations.
