The Moon Circle
Be Still
Intentions and reminders for solstice, New Moon and solar eclipse in Cancer June 2020

Being still does not mean don’t move. It means move in peace.
—E’yen A. Gardner
The world is far from still right now. Turbulent barely begins to describe these times.
According to astrologers, this new moon in Cancer which coincides with a solar eclipse and the summer solstice, “will bring a grand rebirth and open a portal to a whole new dimension.”
I like the sound of that. We could need all of those: Rebirth! Opening portals! A whole new dimension!
“A new dawn is awakening and this Eclipse kickstarts the energy,” continues the predictions, “and it’s likely that seeds will be planted that will help start the process.”
These words and projections do not conjure words like stillness, but they can be, just how a germinating seed is still, yet bursting with explosive, creative energy on a molecular level.
What does stillness mean? It means destroy yourself. Because any form or shape is the cause for trouble. Give up the notion that ‘I am so and so’. All that is required to realize the Self is to be still.
—Ramana Maharshi
In the same way that emptiness is not actually empty but contains all things, stillness is not motionless, but active. Eckhardt Tolle describes stillness as “the infinitely creative womb of all existence”. It is the core, or the seed, of mindful action.
The seeds we plant this new moon and solstice must come from that place of stillness; the active, creative womb. From a place that allows us to move in peace.
What has to die in your life for what you are creating to be born?
—Deepak Chopra
What parts of you must you destroy in order to realize the Self? What do you need to leave behind to birth the life you want—for you and others?
For this new moon, I invite you to join me in tapping into the characteristics of the Cancer sign and let them inspire and guide you:
The cardinal water sign Cancer is ruled by the moon. Deeply sentimental and intuitive, Cancer is emotional, loyal, nurturing, and sensitive. They have an especially developed ability to empathize with other people’s pain and suffering.
Now is the time to inhale Cancer’s energy and be still. To allow ourselves to tune in, listen, absorb, and feel—and to be proactive, transformative, and generous.
Roy T. Bennett’s quote is a fitting mantra for the coming weeks and months:
Don’t just learn, experience Don’t just read, absorb Don’t just change, transform Don’t just relate, advocate Don’t just promise, prove Don’t just criticize, encourage Don’t just think, ponder Don’t just take, give Don’t just see, feel Don’t just dream, do Don’t just hear, listen Don’t just talk, act Don’t just tell, show Don’t just exist, live
Be still—A playlist and found poem
I sat down to create a stillness meditation playlist and out came this almost six-hour-long soundscape and found poem. I ended up pouring a lot of my soul into this one and hope it resonates. There’s quite a lot of darkness to be found, but it contains a prayer and prediction for this ‘new world’ to come.

Scene. One
Be still Don’t go where I can’t find you
I’m just going to lay down. Until midnight
Don’t bother they’re here
Something is sure to happen! (She said)

Fragment II
Watching it unfold:
Losing my breath
Loss
Stay with me. Somewhere in between. As Light. Lights on water.
Invisible now So it goes…
…
#3
Only in the dark. In America This barren land. Elapsed paradise Endless falls
Images of broken light. Against the sky Dissolving Clouds. Door to the cosmos Celestial Realms

92982.3 Moments
A meaningful moment through a meaning(less) process: A soft death. Melancholia. Introspection
When I think of you All I know: The word love Words: Indistinguishable from magic
…
Eleven 11:11
Clouds of breath. Suddenly becomes light A gathering to lead me when you’re gone
The unquestioned answer: Humanity Adrift in peace. Closer Towards a boundless uncertainty, sunlit but shivering At the mercy of the waves. From the sea of changes A sea of love
Drown in love
Maybe they will sing for us tomorrow In praise of tears. Two breaths forever

The below is a pensive 5 hour and 37 minute long (!!!) meditative playlist to invoke stillness, empathy, and intuition.
