The Moon Circle
Your Anger Is a Compass
Intentions and reminders for Full Moon in Saggitarius and lunar eclipse June 2020

Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.
—Maya Angelou
The scales have crumbled from your eyes and you see things clearly now. Your feet have settled on the ground and your path, while frightening, is becoming clear.
But the ground trembles beneath you. What is this feeling simmering under the surface?
Two weeks ago, under the Gemini new moon, you may have felt split, torn, and uncertain. Now, you feel solid; standing strong in your power.
But, you’re about to burst. What is the fire that you can no longer hold back? Why do you suddenly feel like a hissing dragon?
Because maybe you are!
You’re feeling angry. All of the fear and pain have been sitting under the surface for far too long and it must come out.
Let it!
You’re angry. And that’s ok.
Be angry!
Anger is a gift.
—Aristotle
“A Lunar Eclipse has ten times the potential of a full moon”, says Tanaaz at Forever Conscious, and predicts that tonight’s lunar eclipse and full moon in Saggitarius will bring about shifts, change, and breakthroughs.
With the warrior planet Mars being extra active, emotions will be heated and “it’s a time for finding our inner warrior and flame”.
Anger cannot be dishonest.
—Marcus Aurelius
Bitterness, hate, and rage can all be corrupt, but anger, when let out, is an honest feeling.
Where does your anger stem from? What is it trying to tel you?
Your anger is a torch.
Your anger is a compass.
Use it to help you find the way.
The truth will set you free, but first, it will piss you off.
— Joe Klaas
Do you feel triggered or challenged by marginalized voices and others who speak their truths? Maybe this is an opportunity to go inside and self examine where these feelings are coming from? Perhaps your anger wants to tell you that it’s time to be silent; to speak less and listen more.
When you allow yourself quiet time to reflect on why you generate the feelings you do, you will find the truth behind the person you are. And when you know the person you are, you’re free to become the person you’ve always wanted to be. —Steve Zanella
Have you been silent for too long? Is your anger festering and turning to hate? Are you goddamn tired of being nice for the sake of coddling others?
Let it out!
You do not owe me, or anyone, your niceness.
And, yes, you are allowed to be angry!
Your anger is welcome here.
Usually, when people are sad, they don’t do anything. But when they get angry, they bring about change.
—Malcolm X
Anger is a natural human response. It lets us know when an injustice is being perpetrated. It lets us know when we’ve been violated.
Listen to it. And don’t let others demonize or invalidate it.
Anger has the power to heal and bring about change.
Use it. Let it.
Aside from the full moon and eclipse, Venus is in retrograde, which is a time for heart healing. Two days ago, on June 3rd, Venus aligned with the sun and was ‘reborn’ as a morning star, signifying a time for our own personal rebirths.
Let’s welcome waves of change, externally as well as internally—which is where it all starts.
Whether your anger is trying to tell you to stay silent and listen, or yell from the mountaintops right now, examine it and use it to examine yourself. Listen to what it has to tell you.
Your anger is a torch.
Your anger is a compass.
Look at it. See where it takes you.
May your heart and mind be open. May we find harmony in discord, opportunity in difficulty, fertility in chaos — and truth behind our anger.
