This is a continuing story. Find previous instalments here.
“I got the Dagger of Daxion!” Charity shouted.
“Do you remember how we met?”
Charity flinched. Viper’s voice was only a whisper, tickling Charity’s neck.
“You stabbed me because you thought I’ll take your share.”
“I didn’t kill you.”
Charity chuckled.
“Luckily, you missed.”
“I didn’t. I fell in love for the first time, but too late to stop myself.”
“Those were fun ….”
Charity felt a dagger pressing against the side of her neck.
“I’ll correct that mistake.”
“Hey! What’s going on?!” Pike’s voice filled the chamber.
Viper turned around with Charity.
“I’m just not in a charitable mood!”

JF Danskin’s “A Drabble Challenge for Authors” challenge inspired my drabble short story “Searching for Charity.” This instalment got some additional inspiration from Christine Graves (The Dagger of Daxion), and JF’s mood-related writing prompts:
Write a flash fiction story that begins with one character stabbing another, and ends with them both laughing and becoming firm friends.
