Crazy in Love
Searching for Charity №26 — Pike, Diera, and Viper finally made it inside …

This is a continuing story. Find previous instalments here.
“What are you doing, Viper?!”
Diera’s eyes widened.
“I’m taking back my share!”
“I never stole from you!” Charity said.
“Shut up! Not gold. I meant my love!”
A drop of blood ran down Charity’s neck where Viper’s dagger pierced it.
“This is why I left. Gold makes you go crazy.”
“Let’s be reasonable here,” Diera said, “We can still fix this.”
“Fixing! Haha!”
Viper pushed her dagger a little deeper.
“Viper,” Pike said, glancing at Charity, “Do you know the dagger’s power?”
“Teleportation, yes.”
When Charity suddenly disappeared, and a huge fireball flew toward her, Viper realised her mistake.

JF Danskin’s “A Drabble Challenge for Authors” challenge inspired my drabble short story “Searching for Charity.” This instalment got some additional inspiration from JF’s mood-related writing prompts:
Write a single scene or dialogue in which one person struggles to express how deeply in love they feel. Do they get there in the end?
💯 Story Challenge (64/100)
The suspense is killing me. Did it kill Viper? Find out by reading my fictional tales, subscribing to my email list or joining Medium with my referral link.
