Articles By New Writers on Medium Who I Recommend

I’m excited to “discover” the best new writers on Medium.

I have turned reading on Medium into a new game. It’s a type of treasure hunt called “Discover the best new writers.” I am new to the game, but I am learning that there are many excellent writers here who have not been discovered yet.

I have been reading on Medium for over a year now, and writing for a few months. I really like some of the “big name” writers, but I got tired of seeing the same twenty-five names in my feed every day. So, I decided to intentionally seek out new writers who don’t have a lot of followers yet and check out their work.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that most of the articles I have read are pretty good. Writers here on Medium are generally a thoughtful and well-informed group.

I would like to share some of them with you. If you read their articles, give them at least fifty claps. and try to leave a supportive comment. Thanks for checking out the following articles.

Amanda Fangman: Narcissistic Abuse: The Symptoms, Remedies, and Cure.

I really enjoyed this article, but I think that the name is not the best description of what she actually wrote. She actually wrote a letter to herself about her life over the course of a few years of being involved with a narcissistic boyfriend.

Rachel A. Fefer: Life In Switzerland — A Woman’s Home Is Her Castle, Literally

This is a fun story about how a female American lawyer comes to live in a castle in Switzerland. My only suggestion is that she should have made the story longer. I hope that she writes more about this in other articles.

Jason Hart: Building And Creating Things For A Fulfilling Life

I love to make stuff. I come from a long line of artists and crafters. However, most of the crafts I make are feminine things like sewing and knitting. Mr. Hart suggests some interesting creative hobbies that I have never thought about. He is a fan of fantasy stories and so am I. One of his suggestions that I really want to try is to make sculptures out of Legos.

Lisa Johnson: What Idea Is Keeping You Small

Lisa gives some good self-help advice for people who want to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams.

Joel dC Browne: Confessions of a Tamagotchi Killer

Remember those little electronic games where you had to keep a baby dinosaur alive? Well, the author found a game on the ground and decided to try it out. Really fun but short story. I really wanted it to keep going. The author has a delightful sense of humor.

Katrina Smarova: Sometimes It’s Healthy To Scream “Fuck Off” at People In Your Life

If this woman is not a stand-up comedian, she should consider changing her profession. A sassy article full of attitude about how the author learned to stand up to her bossy older sister. She describes her life goal as “to become at least as cool as Betty White.”

Seyi Akinsanya: Adulting: It Never Ends

I’m not sure this title really describes what the article is about. It’s really a young man’s thoughts about the transition from school to working life.

Clare Lane: A Huge Leap Forward In the Healing Process

The title is not a great description of what she has actually written here. It’s a factual description of the effects of growing up in a narcissistic family. I would like to see her include more of her personal experiences in future articles since these facts are well-known to people interested in the topic of narcissism.

Empathic Warrior: Root Cause of Narcissism

Another factual article. This is a good summary of the research on what causes narcissism. I would like for her to keep writing about the facts but include more personal experiences in her future essays.

If you are a new writer on Medium and don’t have more than 600 followers, I would like to read one of your articles. If I like what you have written, I may recommend it in a future article.
