Hey mo,

for the record, you are aware that i am a writer on medium.com. i have written political satire, personal essays, humor and a wee bit of porn for three years.

i have 777 followers, a support group of at least a dozen from the u.s., europe, australia, new zealand, and africa. i can, without a shred of doubt in my mind, say they are not fans of bad governance.

i was a founding member of ccpe. i quit on NV day.

i was a founding member of cope. i quit on january 1, 2022.

i was lori bagwell’s maid for 12 years. i quit in mid-october, 2021.

small town, enit?

one that’s getting full to the rim of clusterf*ck housing. why?

i am speaking on behalf of myself and several neighbors in silver terrace.

we are sick to death of being ignored.

carson city towing uses our residential streets like they own it. there are simple solutions to this problem. how about a few signs?

RESIDENTS ONLY on sunrise, bowers, and nye. i can show you exactly where you can place them. the ground is still wet and muddy from the floods of ‘21.

i was downtown on sunday. some of curry street is being revamped. isn’t that special? why does the city of carson have money to widen the sidewalks downtown and not to pick up trash (community service, trustees) on arrowhead and the vacant lot?

why are there no blue-lid recycling bins at the softball fields at centennial park north? doesn’t the city have a contract with waste management? the trash can is full of plastic, glass, aluminum, paper and water from the floods of ‘21.

why aren’t the backboards for racketball/tennis repaired? why don’t we have at least one basketball court and one volleyball court on one of the dozen of tennis courts?

why isn’t the drainage ditch on arrowhead maintained? it’s been a mud flat for a month. and guess who’s parking there? maybe carson city needs a small truck stop on arrowhead near 50.

but we also need a couple SPEED LIMIT ENFORCED 35 MPH signs behind our homes. arrowhead drive between bowers and the gatehouse is residential. this would be a good location to pick up revenue. maybe some big, honking speed bumps will also help.

please, pay attention to your constituents in the same way that nathaniel kilgore, who you appointed to the planning commission does.

Hi Ann,

Thank you for the link to your medium writings, and thank you for your kind words. I enjoy your writing style and the letter to Mo White gave me a lot to think about. You are my eyes on the neighborhood. I hope to read more as time allows. I’m pretty bogged down with research and writing to and attending meetings of the planning commission and Board of Supervisors. I’m off to the BOS in a couple hours to ask them to rezone Empire Cemetery to a designation that will protect it in perpetuity.

I saw a beautiful horse yesterday, crossing over Highway 50 near the lowest spot, about 1/8 mile from Sunrise. He was crossing from the river side toward your neighborhood. I’ve seen wild horses trotting down the street in front of my parents house. Do you see them on your streets too?

It occurred to me they probably come down from the back hills, and the aptly named Wild Horse Trail, to go to the river to drink. The Carson River makes its bend right there near our neighborhood, and that is the closest it comes to Highway 50 within Carson City. That small area of open space (proposed slaughterhouse) is an obvious corridor for wild horses to traverse to the river from the back hills.

A subject perhaps I will take up soon with the Open Space Advisory Committee, the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Unified Pathways Trails Coordinator.

peter saw a wild horse yesterday by itself. they still get down here at times — the fence that was put up by wild horse advocates two years ago (september) extends up to goni. we see them often above the golf course where we walk the dogs on leash now — used to let them run free, but ziggy, our rez dog, chases everything and with bear sightings during the fall (mo said one by his house), we stay leashed to the puppies.

this one is fun, not political. like the 30+ essays that alan asnen read. at the time i was banned from next door. i’m glad now that it happened. there are many more capable people on that site. my niche is medium. there was a troll who sent me a message yesterday on medium. i blocked him and reported him to admin.

i am often times ready for “social media” to be “hanging out on the front porch and listening to eddie and davey play their guitars while we smoked beedies (they’re horrible btw and i haven’t smoked for many many years)
