A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — drabble edition!

Dawn. Image by the author and MJ.

This is a continuation of Boundless Luck, a Choose Your Own Adventure Story (drabble edition) started by Bradan Writes Stories. Find out how to contribute here, or return to the previous chapter: ‘The Legacy of the Demon’ by JF Danskin.

You rest peacefully overnight in the cottage. In the morning, Angelika fixes some stew, which, fortunately, tastes delicious.

“My dad’s partner is a fish-warrior by the name of Finnart.”

“Mmm,” you say, mouth full.

“He lives in a small cave at the mountain pass.”

“We should set out,” you say, “but we’ll need supplies.”

She pulls out a backpack. “As luck would have it, most of my dad’s gear is right here. Weapons and everything.”

You smile.

Soon you are equipped with chainmail, a sword at your side, gear and rations in a backpack. You have a bow, too.

Continue (this leads into a follow-up story).
