After Elon Musk Acquired Twitter, I Started Liking It More.

Here are the reasons.

I have been following Elon Musk on Twitter and other social media platforms. He is an inspiration to me in the design, technology, media, and artificial intelligence fields.

Interestingly, since he acquired Twitter, I have never had dull moments. Every day I receive several exciting tweets on exciting and engaging topics. His humor is amazing.

Mr. Musk is so random and beyond-the-box thinker, I cannot stop laughing at his tweets while learning about his marketing skills. He knows how to entertain his audience.

No wonder he has millions of followers on Twitter and other social media platforms. He is a modern polymath and prodigy, from my observations.

I have been on Twitter for several years, mainly using it to share content with close friends. But I recently created a new account to share my content on Medium and Vocal Media. It is a great tool to amplify stories submitted to my two publications on Medium.

When I created my new Twitter account for content sharing several months ago and shared my first impression in an article titled This Is What Happened When I Joined Twitter Last Week.

Since then, my account has started growing.

When I checked my monthly progress this weekend, I got nicely surprised. All metrics are positive. The number of tweets, impressions, profile visits, mentions, and followers significantly increased.

The most pleasing metric for me is the astronomical increase in my tweet impressions which is 863%. I am happy about this stat because it means that more people are seeing my content.

More importantly, in November, 1100+ people viewed my account, and 9,700+ people had the impression of my tweets that I posted from Medium. No wonder my subscribers to my Medium profile increased.

Elon Musk sounds genuine in free speech as he created a poll asking for opinions about removing suspended accounts, mainly due to their public opinions. Trump was one of them. I also heard about many other thought leaders.

I wondered why Twitter was so strict in banning thought leaders. I am glad Mr. Musk is bringing a more flexible culture to Twitter. Why do social media platforms have such a banning culture?

Like all ethical people, I am against hate speech, defamation, and other toxic content. For example, we don’t allow such content in our publications. But we don’t remove writers when they stop sending such content. Everyone might make mistakes and might not be aware of their content.

However, sharing opinions of prominent leaders who make a difference in real life should be able to share those ideas on social media as well.

So my question is if someone acts legally and ethically in real life, why are their opinions banned on social media?

I’d like to end my story with one of the hilarious tweets from an influencer posted on Thanksgiving day. I believe it will give you a chuckle.
