I have been asked multiple times that “Is Affiliate marketing is allowed on Medium?” or “Can I put Amazon affiliate links in my Medium article?” all these questions need serious intention as one mistake and you might lose all your work on Medium and will make your Medium account suspended. In this article, we are going to discuss doing affiliate marketing on Medium the safe way.

Most of the writers think that you can just make money writing through the Medium Partner Program but in reality, you can also make money through Affiliate marketing on Medium.

You must disclose affiliate links or payment for a post. As you can see, Medium does allow you to add affiliate links in your posts but you have to add a disclosure in your posts, that if you bought anything through these links, then you might receive a commission with no additional costs to you. Adding an affiliate link in your articles isn’t just for Amazon, but you can add affiliate links of any company unless and until it falls under the spam. Don’t promote any affiliate product link on Medium that look suspicious or doesn’t provide any value to your readers.

1. Write stories for the people

Don’t just write on Medium for the sake of making money, or promoting yourself or anything but be thankful that there is a platform exist where you could write about the things you love. Be thankful that you have the privilege of writing online on a platform that could probably give you money even for sharing your life lessons.

Yes, of course. It worked out for me and an affiliate partner is paying me $100 every month just by keeping his company link on my Medium story. This recurring $100/month will continue till he pays me. His company provides good service so it is a Win-Win-Win situation for Me, Him, and the client.

I love to write on Medium because I think it is more like a platform like YouTube but instead, here you create content related to the topic of your interest, find an affiliate company, and promote their products.

5. Consistency and be yourself. Again, write more often and don’t publish content every day adding your affiliate link, you will be easily recognized as a Spammer and Medium might suspend your account for that.
6. Continuously improve your content. This is my favorite thing to do. I often check out my ranked blog posts and update my content. If I learned something that I have already a blog post I updated it. This is the principle we studied during engineering which is called “Continuous Improvement” There is always room for improvement in an article.
